Rooted in water. Started cutting 2 months ago and it already has a pitcher about to pop open. The source of the plant that this cutting was taken from is Keith Ellison.
Interested in VFT varieties, dews, and Sarrs not on my growlist. Nothing else. PST
I would like to give fish food to my dews. I am wondering if there is a certain kind I should use or just the tetra food I already have on hand?
Best regards,
Charlie
I have: Drosera lanata, D. dilatato-petiolaris, D. paradoxa and D. falconeri. It's worth noting that the dilatato-petiolaris is a clone from a plant I grew from seed so the genetics should be different from anything out there.
I am looking to trade for: D. fulva, D. derbyensis, D. petiolaris...
This is part of my 'pot of unknown seedings + D. scop. + B. liniflora':
I'd like to try to get IDs on the pygmies, at least. I know the tall pygmies are D. scorps, and the two skinny looking things are B. liniflora. Any chance these photos are good enough to ID the others? I have absolutely no...

I think by the end of this week I am going to start putting my chamber into transition mode for spring. During winter time I grow under florescents but once it warms up I use sunlight. My lowlanders hate winter time.......grow slow as hell, crappy pitchers too. between the...
I have set myself a line in the sand....only 1 10 gallon terrarium allowed inside....course no rules for the gh. :)
Anyway, I wanted it to be cheap and efficient. I did have some humidity issues at first but found a natural solution.....building a bed of living LFS and it works...
Hello all. I used to be a lurker here back around 2005. I remember signing up for some free seeds and that's how it all started. I do see some familiar names are still here.
I used to have a decent garden. Variety of traps, dews and neps. I even had several lovely pots and re-pots of...

Hello all this is my first dormancy with my plants and I've already had some of my sundews go dormant. My question is how much water do the plants Need during the winter? I am in Charlotte NC if that matters and the plants are grown outside. I'm growing VFTs, Sarrs, and some temperate, and...
Hey everyone:
I read through the lighting guide and Googled it, but it's been a few years since most of those have been updated so I thought it would be okay to ask for advice.
I recently bought several 4 tube T5 light fixtures which have the option of have two or four lights on. (For...
I'm interested in growing some temperate Drosera species and hybrids on the tray method alongside rosetted subtropical varieties, fulfulling their dormancy requirements via. the fridge method. Will temperate varieties "signal" the beginning of dormancy by forming hibernacula in the absence of...
The first three photos show the same set of plants (courtesy of CP Bobby). I know that they're still young, but anyone have any IDs for any of these?

I recently got some U. longifolia but there seems to be a bit of white, fuzzy fungus developing along the surface of the media. It's currently planted in some LFS, although it came with peat around the roots. Temp ranges from 68-80F depending on the time of the day. Humidity usually 50-70%. I...
Love the rosetted dews but IDing is certainly not my strong point! I feel like D. spatulata or some sort of derivative is the obvious answer, but I want to be sure.
So I got these from a local garden center. Has grown like gangbusters. Unfortunately no current flowers although it has been...

I picked with up from someone who thought it was a spatulata. I guess It might be a frasier island since I have a real spatulata and it has bigger leaves than this one. But it could also a natalensis, tokaiensis or some other one of those similarly looking dews. Maybe a hybrid? I'm curious to...
