Awhile back I was given a hybrid sundew - a plant I hadn't really thought much about growing. It has become a favorite since and I am wondering what other cool hybrid Drosera people are growing. I'm guessing others might be interested as well. So here is a thread for posting pictures of your...

Is there any good reason to clip an inflorescence of an annual sundew? I'm referring to Drosera indica I have in a greenhouse, they have been doing marvelous and aren't quite huge yet, I'm wondering if I should clip their tiny flowers now?
The plants feed fairly regularly on the insects of the...

I just spotted this in my outdoor pot. I don't have any idea what it is. I have never seen anything like it or even owned a sundew that resembles it. It looks like it has no leaf structure, just red tentacles unfurling more tentacles covered in dew.. I tried cropping a few pics to zoom in on it...
I'm looking for a sundew that will go along with my Sarracenia plants In a bog bowl outside. I live in Iowa and can have them a dormancy if needed. I'm looking for suggestions on what plants to look for.
Thanks in advanced

I noticed the other day that the tip of an immature pitcher on one of my purps had a little kink in it. Upon closer inspection I saw a couple of aphids hiding in it which I removed. I closely inspected the plant, found a few more which I also manually removed. That plant was pretty far along in...

I recently constructed a neat new growshelf, but I think it is now obsolete. I've been growing sundews via the tray method for a while now. However, it's begun to get extremely tedious. The humidity stays very low because it is open to the air, and the trays dry out in between rainstorms (I'm...
My first sundew came in the mail today! It's a Capensis and I bought it potted so that I would not have to worry about the growing medium. My question is, should I put it in my near full sun spot right away or should I spend a week acclimating it? Also, some of the leaves are black. Should I...
I've got a bunch of these coming up in a pot of D. affinis. No clue what it is.. but the affinis did originate with someone that specializes in S. American drosera.
Any ideas?
Dear CP growers!
Past 2 weeks I have been deflasking and started to acclimatize many sundew species from in vitro.
Most of then grew well in various tested nutrient media, some test have been performed with hormones and with colloidal silver. Here I would like to share several pictures with...
Picked this up recently and thought it was something else entirely. It is now starting to take an upward growth habit to the leaves which kind of resemble the long arm form of capilaris. It also has the narrow petioles of something like nidiformis. There are hairy stipules along the margin of...
