I have a few sundews that either are not doing well in my condition or that I have way to many of. Here to spread them around.
They are:
Adelae giant (all spoken for) none left
Hamiltonii (one)
spatulata (lots)
venusta (few)
Binata (lots)
Keep in mind that a few of these plants will need some...
I have one pack of Albino Cape Sundew Seeds (25+). They are totally free and postage has been paid by aerogrower. First member to post up here AND send me a PM with their address, gets the seed pack!
:D
I am new to this, my goal is to get these plants nice and healthy and ready for some extended time lapse sequences in my studio
For now, i have them in my workshop, this is the current setup. They seem to be doing ... ok... but im seeing some strange things. The pitcher plants are sort of...
Hello all,
I intend to do as much propagation as I can in order to reinvigorate and expand my collection instead of buying new material. This provides me with incentive to experiment with propagation techniques and growing methods.
Today I walked to my local hydroponics store and purchased 14...
This trade is for D. intermedia seeds. The plant was sold to me labaled as "Hardy Sundew, Drosera intermedia". I have had it for 18 months. It has flowered profusely in that time, frequently dropping seed in the LFS substrate of the terrarium where it lives, resulting in herds of volunteers...
Hello everyone,
Here is another call to correct your plant labels! :)
A few colleagues and I have just published a 35-page review of the D. montana complex. Like our previous publications on Brazilian sundews, this paper has been decades in the making and it has definitely been the most...
I have limited space for carnivorous plants, but for those who are interested, this is my list. I kind of like my plants bloody, red, and dangerous looking. I also have regular house plants, but I'm definitely not listing those as there are too many.
Pink is quantity for trade/sell. Green is...
Well the title says it all. Over the weekend, now that school is out, there have been a lot of restless individuals in the neighborhood where a friend of mine lives. This friend of mine permits me to keep a small garden of temperate CPs on his back porch knowing that I am in between...

So I noticed black dots on the lamina of my D. Falconeri. At first I thought the dots were dirt from when I took leaf pullings but now I know its fungus, so My question is what would be a safe fungicide to use?
Heres a pic a couple of days ago,
And today,
I've had a couple "shots in the arm" with pygmy sundew gemmae and other assorted things, but what was once a thriving collection of butterworts is down to just a few. I am also missing a few basic sundews, like D. adelae, anglica, and aliciae. Here's my current grow list. Those with asterisks I...
My bushy old mother Drosophyllum decided it was time to flower in January/February and produce its last crop of seed. Sadly, the drosos in this pot have reached the end of their life cycle after 4 great years, but have given me many progeny to fill the void.
I have two packets for giveaway...
Things are starting to warm up around here and I've been having to use my air conditioner again. So what does that mean? It means that I can start making mead and wine (using heat from outside, by my front door, to ferment)!
Adding flowers and/or herbs to basic mead or wine can give it a...
I'd like to start growing some Pinguicula lusitanica. Right now I have seeds of white-flowering Drosera capillaris (Alabama), Drosera capensis, and Drosera aliciae. I also have some Drosera intermedia 'Cuba' plants to trade, and can take cuttings from most of my other plants (see growlist)...
Most of us are fascinated by carnivorous plants because they are, well, carnivorous. But I've often wondered what people thought of them before Darwin came along, since they are rather amazing in appearance alone.
For example, here and there in pre-nineteenth-century books, you'll find some...
