Hello to everyone here!
So I'm from Minnesota and I starting collecting CPs a two years ago, I'm still new to all of this. Just to prove to you how new I am, I'll tell you a story.
A year ago around winter dormancy I thought that Carnivorous plants didn't need water during their winter dormancy...
My friends just gave me a bunch of tulip bulbs and I don't have the room to plant them all. Instead of letting them rot away, I thought I would trade them away. I don't know what kind or colors they are. I am trying to rebuilt my small sundew collection. I am looking for looking for D. capensis...
Hi everyone
I had a little sundew pop up in my one pot, at first I thought it was D. capensis as the specific pot in question has got D. capensis poping up everywhere, but as the plant got a bit older it started looking like something else. I am not 100% sure what though.
Here is a photo, the...
Yup you read right.
I am offering one pup off my mother plant.
I spent months and months trying to get this plant in my collection. Had people who had extras but would not budge no matter how many plants or money I threw at them. I greatly desired this sundew and it took a lot of effort for me...
A sundew that had a bunch of aphids on its flower stalk was sprayed with the alcohol / water / dish soap solution. The leaves still have their dew and I don't see any aphids. Not sure if they were eradicated or if they found new homes. I sprayed a few other sundews (capensis, mostly) that had...
Just divided up my adelae, kinda did a hackjob on some of the roots though. They should be fine as long as they went back in the terrarium though, right? Also, found what seems to be a rosetted sundew hanging out with them, at the very least it didn't have the massive root system that the lance...
HEY folks!
S0 I had a thread a little while ago about my Biolapse project where I am filming timelapse clips of carnivorous plants as they grow and develop. I had received a lot of great tips and advice, and the plants appear to be healthy and they are currently taking a break after a full...
I've been on this forum a couple of time but I suppose it's time for a somewhat formal introduction...
So, my name is Danny and I'm addicted to carnivorous plants, especially nepenthes. I used to be a normal biology student with a small interested in carnivorous plants ( I grew a Venus Fly trap...
Every once in awhile a hobbyist sends me a sundew that has a flower stalk. Shipped sundews almost always arrive in shock and they lose their dew. Flower stalks always stall for me and I end up having to cut them off, in disappointment. Do stalks ever survive shipping and continue growth?
I am giving away a D. sessifolia. The TF community has been so incredibly generous. I'm just returning the favor. Drawing will be the saturday the 23'rd.
Rules
-Be willing to send me $5 for shipping
-Be active enough to get back to me if you win
-Use the familiar method here. Cut and paste...

Hello!
In April 2010 I was walking to the top of campus at SFSU and passed by the University green house. They were having a plant sale and I decided to check it out. I ended up purchasing a Sarracenia x readii and had no idea what I was getting myself into or how I would get swept up with the...
