My favorite ping is agnata 'True Blue'. It has proven itself really hardy to me by being more vigorous than other species(or hybrids). Its flower is pretty cute too with a blue tinged blossom. It also likes to grow aerial roots everywhere(is that good or bad).
So.... What's your favorite ping?
Hello, as you can tell my name is PvtPinguicula, but you can call me PvtPing. Some of you may have seen my dad, SgtSarracenia, on here. I got my first CP's August of last year, a S. x 'Tarnok' and S. flava. I am slowly trying to build up my own collection. Although my name is PvtPing, I am most...
Hello everyone! My name is Rosie and I'm new to this forum and new to carnivorous plants. I got my first Nepenthes (Ventrata?) about a year ago and my first Pinguicula (Moctezumae x Gigantae) sometime in February. Since acquiring the Ping and seeing how easy and rewarding it was my interest...
Hey everybody, I recently got back into CPs after about 5 years away and the bug has bitten. What started off as having a D. capensis "broad leaf" in a windowsill has quickly grown to a 4 tube, 20 gallon highland terrarium complete with ice bottles and computer fans. Right now all I have in the...
I just finished dividing and replanting my collection and have found a handful of plants that have either lost their tag or possibly never had them. If anyone could shed some light on their ID, I would appreciate it greatly. It drives me up the wall not having tags. ;D
Ping #1
Ping #2...
I've seen requests for Pings. I'll send one mature Pinguicula x [laueana "CP2" x emarginata] to winning bidder. This is a rare ping hybrid in collections. I may throw in an extra carnivore of some type if bidding reaches near the price I think this plant is worth. I will ship bare root via...
I am just starting to manage Weber State University's CP collection after being absent for two years and I need to get some pings identified. Many of the tags were written with marker and the labels are no longer legible. I am in the process of repotting all the plants into a better ping media...

Pinguicula moctezumae x gigantea from Crissytal/Crystal
Pinguicula 'weser'??? from Crissytal (Is it a P. 'Weser?)

Hello again guys! It's fussy little me again!
My little Laueana is doing fine and growing well but I noticed that when I go to pluck off dead leaves it's really easy to litteraly lift the entire plant out of the pot! It's attached to a clod of dirt and two rocks with moss on it.
Being so easy...
Any one have one to trade? I lost mine. I already have sumidero#2 and many other extra mexican pings, so if you're a ping lover, I'm sure we can work something out.
Thanks for looking!

My name is Christian and I live in Portland, Oregon. I've had a few flytraps and a ping for a few years, but I'm currently trying to expand my collection and learn as much as I can about these awesome plants. I'm really enjoying all of the photos and great information on this forum so far!
Hello there! I'm both new here and to growing CPs, but I've always been fascinated with them. Anyways, I lied a little - I'm actually very confused and worried about how my Ping is doing... =/
I've never really had much experience with plants. The last time I had to take care of any plant was...

hi ping fans,i know little about these plants but have a dormant cyclosecta that to me looks like it can be divided ,if possible i would like to divide because i don't want all my eggs in one basket so to speak,i would like to know the best time to divide and potting mix ,looks like five plants...
I have a few feet of Begonia withlacoochee. It's a nice trailing tropical species. I use it in my terrariums, and it is in constant bloom. The leaves have a nice coloration to them, and it is very easy to grow. I'm not looking for anything in particular, so offer away. I'd prefer species, but...
Come spring I'd like to start collecting a couple butterworts.
I have a really nice, sprawling collection of Sundews, Nepenthes, VFTs, Sarrs and even bladderworts. Pings are my last unexplored territory (completely unexplored). I was wondering if anybody could recommend some good, starter...
