Hey guys, so it is that time of year when the NCSU greenhouses need to be cleaned up some and I will be taking home dozens and dozens of cuttings of the confirmed FEMALE Nepenthes 'Rokko' they have had since the 1980s. This is one of the original plants from Japan when the original cross was...
My pubescens flowered and I was able to snap a few photos.
My graminifolia is flowering as well. Ill get some close ups of that later but here's a iPhone pic of the two plants.
My Nepenthes ventrata flowered back in the fall and the pods started swelling before any of my male flowers had opened so I just assumed they were long like that. I checked the greenhouse and saw some of the pods were turning black but a couple were split open and there were seeds inside.
I'm...

I have a friend who has a N. Whisper and it has flowered, he is not active on the forums so I asked him if I could advertise here for any interested growers. If anyone is interested, PM me and I will give you his contact information.
The picture of the flower stalk was taken November 19 2013
Anyone have advice on dividing this thing? Since it flowered this summer, my alice sundew has divided 3 times, making 4 total sundews stuck together. I just don't know where to begin. I have only separated pings, sarrs, and VFTs.
Here are a couple pictures:
Since I grow mostly Sarracenia there isn't much going on at my house plant-wise. I do, however, have some orchids that are keeping me inspired. I figured someone here might enjoy it, too.
This is a Brassocattleya hybrid called Kosh Wallis. Not a bad looking plant considering I bought it from...
I have some various houseplants, and sorry I am new to growing plants, so i don't even know their common names - any help is greatly appreciated!
Some of them have issues that I was hoping I could solve with your help :)
Here is common house plant, I think it's commonly called "Peace Lily"...
I have a couple varities of drosera binata and they flowered prolificly for me this year, even thogh some are root cuttings this year or some are starts from other people this. My drosera binata multifida flowered a bunch and drosera dichotoma? giant flowered several times, but i cant seem to...
I acquired these little chaps a few years ago. They flowered for a couple of years then 'disappeared'. Some weeds came up but as I pulled the first one I noticed a small tuber on the end (ooooops).Left to their own devices they continued to send up the weed type growth. This spring I decided to...
Friend of mine gave me two types of pings to play with last fall. So far they've done well with the exception of repeated grackle attacks which almost wiped out the second type.
One type, moranensis, is blooming. Hopefully the others will be gearing up too. Don't know if any pollination...
I have a bromeliad that flowered and produced 5 pups. When do I separate them from the mum? And I read the mother plant will die after this, is that true? I feel like it isn't, but if it is true I'll be like legitimately upset. :-(
While I'm at it with the questions... Do you think I could get...
I'm trying to step into the early oughts and see if I can profitably use Flickr. [edit: sigh, not really. The links work at least.]Here is some happiness from my garden and lab:

Got this ping from a guy I know at a herp expo. He gave me a container with two types of pings last fall. Unfortunately he did not remember the name of either one though he did know that they both were species. Well this one surprised me by blooming off and on all winter though it did have...
Okay, I have two S. flava v ornatas from two different locals. One grows slowly, and produces only one, hugh, flower a year. The other divides rapidly and puts out multiple flowers, but is not as striking. I have tried for two seasons to cross them.
The first year I put pollen from the...
I have clump of drosera (needs identifying) potted in 100% peat moss. The problem I'm having involves some leaves turning a red-redish brown coloration which lack the dew that characterizes sundews. I have the plant in a terrarium that gets upwards of 18k lumens of light. I guess I just need to...
I grew out some seeds I received labeled D. sp "South Africa" that have recently flowered and produced some seed pods.
The only other Drosera that had open flowers at around the same time was D. spatulata 'Tamlin', but I cannot for the life of me remember if both had flowers open at the same...
Hey Peeps, I have a batch of 2-3in seedrown N.ventricosas I'd like to trade off for things I don't yet have. Things that I'm looking for are Neps of any kind, temperate pings of any kind, S.purpurea ssp purpurea, aquatic uritcularia and any of the large flowered south american species, and cobra...
