Everything looks terrible because it's winter and I don't believe in artificial lighting, but here goes:
D.graomo
N.macrophylla
N.spectabilis x talangensis
N.sibuyanensis x xtrusmadiensis
N.densiflora x robcantleyii (King of Spades)
P.gigantea (afaik)
some other Ping flower...
Cephalotus seedling color?
Hello, I have been growing these little guys for about 6 months. I got them as seedlings. Some are supposed to be seedlings of Hummer's Giant and some were labeled "Black Form". It's my first time growing Ceph seedlings, and wanted to know if their color looked...
This is how I've been growing this plant that I got at the 2013 NECPS show.
I noticed it had a white cottony thing on it and i immediately pulled it off and squashed it without finding out what it was. Here is what was left.
It went from the leaf to the pitcher. Any ideas what I might be...
Looking for utricularia menziesii. If you have some avaiable please contact me to work out a trade.
If you have that and genlisea hispidula...I might have some ceph or heli for trade. Or whatever else interests you from my grow list.
Hey Everyone:
I acquired a nice Ceph specimen at the NECPS show in September. At first, I was growing it alongside my Sarrs, but it seemed to be languishing, so I moved it inside, under the grow lights, seated in a tray alongside D. binata. There, it didn't put out any new growth, but didn't...
Might be something to watch, figure it will go for a ton. I know its not "that hard" to get Eden Black X open seeds now so maybe its real.
Its odd that there is not a "parent" pitcher photo, since this is a tissue culture from a seed grown plant I would think there would be an older plant...
Hey y'all, I'm looking for N. Viking (Mirabilis var. globosa) species and hybrids. I'd be most interested in Viking x amp (red) but I'd definitely consider anything else. I'm also looking for:
* Always looking for clones/plants of tentaculata ***
* ampullaria
* eymae
* glabrata
* gymnamphora
*...
I think its finally time for me to build a grow area specifically for my Cephalotus collection. So hopefully a few others have done this before and can stear me away from problems.
My goal is to provide the best possible conditions for growing Cephalotus indoors under lights within my budget...
Hey everyone:
I read through the lighting guide and Googled it, but it's been a few years since most of those have been updated so I thought it would be okay to ask for advice.
I recently bought several 4 tube T5 light fixtures which have the option of have two or four lights on. (For...
I'm starting my semi-annual look over all my plants and seeing what needs what and this silly plant is doing it again.....
I saw some photo's from the last leaf pulls and some are having success so here goes round II.
So free to good home 2-3 leaf pulls from whichever Ceph I feel like pulling...
I realize this is a bit of a stretch given that I have almost nothing to trace, but I I've got limited grow space and so I'm looking to part ways with some plants that take up too much space. What I really want to grow are Cephs and Heli's since my small grow area is completely climate...
Hi everyone,
I thought I'd share my progress with you guys on my most recent (and a few older plants)
I decided to do a quick before/after shot of three of my plants. I'm pretty proud of the heli that I managed to keep alive along with the ceph! Adult pitchers on the heli made my week! The...
Up for trade and about 2-3 " in size: N. ( inermis x singalana ) x mira basal cutting that is pretty well established. I am interested in all varieties of heli excluding heterodoxa x minor, all varieties of ceph and specifically N. macrophylla and villosa. However, I am interested in most...
I've had my Ceph for quite a while now but I've noticed over the months that some pitchers seem to be yellowing a bit and the oldest pitchers at the under-center of the plant (hard to see in the pic) are definitely dead. Is this something to be worried about? I've heard the Cephs can often cause...
Hi everyone I have a few plants that I would like to trade for one highland hybrid nep and if all you can do is take a cutting as long as it has 3 nodes Im fine with that too. I have a small division of bulbo ambrosia, N. Splendiana x [veitchii x maxima]x veitchii and then if those 2 don't cover...
Well, my cephalotus has been surviving in my window since I moved into the new house, so I thought I'd share a few pictures. It's been through a few rough patches, and more than one run in with the cat, but so far I've managed to keep it alive and green.
But not green enough! The dead...
There are some things in my list I won't part with, but if you see something you like, let me know. Would also be willing to trade for anything interesting.My Growlist
