This thread is inspired firstly by my undying love for N. glandulifera and its kin, but also by the aristolochioides hybrid thread and the success it has had.
I have grown three N. glandulifera hybrids so far and I gotta say I have liked all of them a lot. N. glandulifera seems to...
This is bound to be an interesting cross, I love the traits that glandulifera gives to its offspring. Granted this pitcher is on the deformed side, I like it even more because it has exaggerated both the parents traits in a somewhat cartoonish fashion. Anyone else growing this cross? I'd love...
I recently harvested the seed pods from my N. ventricosa x talangensis. They were pollinated with N. x 'Melvino' pollen... So the cross is N. (ventricosa x talangensis) x (spathulata x bongso) harvested from my greenhouse 1/26/14...
My specific N. ventricosa x talangensis...
I just got a N. Talangensis that was advertised as having a bright red peristome. I was wondering if it will change color over time or did I end up with the greenish peristome variety.
I have other young plants with very red peristome and that is why I am wondering about this one.
Thank you.
I've been looking for N. bokorensis for a while now, but I have not seen any available at the usual places I get Nepenthes from. PM me if you are interested in any of the plant I have available for trade.
Plants Available for Trade:
N. x 'Caesarion' - (veitchii x (merrilliana x truncata)
N. x...
Hey, everyone. I just started a collection this past spring/summer-ish. Nothing's died yet (knock on wood). Though, my heli's are limping along. I'll post them when they're not so ew. Everything is pretty young at the moment so not much to look at. Hoping they'll grow up to be half as good...
Has anyone hit uppers on theirs yet? I had a nice 25cm vine going on one of my clones, but the plant put out a few basals and unfortunately the main vine has pretty much died back and denied me
My N. Anubis (spathulata (thorelii x densiflora)) is double-flowering. The first flower I'm pollinating with my N. maxima dark x talangensis just because it happens to be flowering at the same time. The second flower is still a few weeks away from developing and I figured I'd try another hybrid...
Ok so i still havent been able to make either of these thrive , they grow very well , but pitcher poorly.
,
They are both up for trade.
.
The veitchii x talangensis keeps one pitcher going most of the time and the talangensis puts out one or two pitchers a year.
.
I looking for...

I am in possession of some seeds from a most unnatural mating between two beautiful plants: N maxima and N talangensis. now you may say to me "but pebes, doesn't this violate the laws of nature?", the answer quite simply is YES! now these heathen, half-breed seeds can be yours too (i'm not...
I won the bid on these plants and they finally have pitchers! At least the beginnings of pitchers anyway.
Thanks Thez-yo!!

Apparently I was right about my N. x 'Melvino' flowering. I got it in June and it just opened up a new leaf revealing a thick flower stalk. It is a boy. The problem is that my N. ventricosa x talangensis is close to opening. My N. ventrata is also starting to open the lower flowers which is...
