can someone just quickly go over how to pollinate a nep flower to get seeds. I have a ventricosa hybrid that is showinga leaf that is about to emerge with little white balls in the inside.
When I took pics of my Utric blooms a month or so ago, I also had my wife help me snap a pic of the internal flower parts of a U. nelumbifolia bloom (which I then forgot I had). Prior to the blooms opening, I searched all the forums for explanations & pics. While I did find a number of them, the...
I have a Stylidium debile flowering and need to know if they are self fertile and how to pollinate it.
Does anyone have experience with producing seed from this plant?
Thanks,

Hey guys,
I'm trying to get a handle on the "rules" of Sarr pollination. I looked around and I can't find answers to these questions.
I read that you can't self-pollinate or use genetically identical plants (dividions or TC clones), but can you cross pollinate any other Sarracenia and expect...
so i've been thinking---why is it so difficult to pollinate pure specimens of nepenthes? i mean, if we have so much difficulty trying to create "pure-breeds" in cultivation, how would they possibly be able to do so in the wild without producing an overwhelming amount of hybrids? are flowerings...

My typical VFT is flowering and I have read and know how to pollinate them. But the flower heads or buds or what the english name is, are not all open yet at the same time so should I pollinate them seperatly or wait until all is opened up ? look the pic (:
I wonna get the most seeds I can get...
Greetings everyone. I have a male Nepenthes Talangensis in flower. It is just starting to spike. Does anyone here have any females in flower that they would like to pollinate it with Talangensis.
I was thinking a 50/50 seed split. I am not picky on what the female will be. I just want to be able...
Hello Friends,
I'm pleased to announce the grand opening of the CP "How-To" video gallery on my site featuring the lovely Roridula gorgonias in flower.
In this first video, I show how to accurately pollinate them and get seed. More videos will follow which will share tons of cultivative...
Anyone know what these guys are? I found them last night in the backyard coming up from a thick bush. There's 4-5 other stalks coming up that havent opened yet. They're very pretty and had lots of moths crawling on them. They're very attracted to the plant and seem to pollinate it.
So a while back I posted a couple threads asking about a cross between D. lanata and D. kenneallyi. Here is the sole result (so far). This is the only seedling I've found since I sowed the seeds. Unless kenneallyi decided to self pollinate, this should be legit.

So, this year I really want to try and successfully flower and seed my VFT. I currently have 3 that are putting up stalks, but upon thinking about which ones are flowering, I have come to the conclusion that they have been root divisions (essentially clones) of the same plant. So, technically...
I have one packet of U. subulata seeds. Lots of seeds available, about 70+. These could probably be considered a weed, but they're still nice. A very easy utric to grow. The pretty little flowers self pollinate, so they spread easily. I don't know where these came from. A flower just randomly...
I found this article while surfing, and I found it fascinating and I think you will too. This is a plant we don't hear much about.
The article itself has pictures of both the plant and its bug. http://www.kew.org/msbp/plantstories/Roridula_dentata.htm
I am interested in Drosera pollination. I have several Drosera flowering right now such as capensis, spatulata, spatulata fraser island, spatulata x capensis, venusta, capillares, omissa x pulchella, nitidula x pulchella, and my adelae. Can I pollinate any mix I want for seed? which ones do not...
