I have some U. sandersonii, that had flowered, and the flower has fallen off. Many more are starting to bloom. It has left behind, what I guess will be what will be a seed pod. Does U. sandersonii self pollinate? and how long do you let it on the stalk before collecting?
A few days ago my pinguicula eseriana flower bud opened! it has five pink petals, 3 on the top, 2 on the bottom... the flower is completely different than my other pings, i don't see any way to pollinate it (don't see the sticky pad) and suggestions?
First off, sorry for not being around lately, other responsibilities have been taking precedence. And yes UKC, I spell checked the big post LOL

Hello,
My surviving P x weser has got 2 flower buds in development. If it does flower, should I self pollinate each one individually with a toothpick and such, or should I cross pollinate them?
Hi
I just want to let you know that I have a N. campanulata in bud. I would really like to pollinate it with the same species. I don't know if it is male or female yet. I probably will not know for at least 3 weeks.

Hi folks
Since there is often talk about pollinating plants and terms are used that some may not be familiar with, I created this diagram to illustrate the basic flower parts so when someone is talking about pollen, stamens, anthers and other such parts, you may have a better understanding of...
Hi folks:

Hey all,

Okay, it's the seson for supermarket VFTs which means lots of people are going to show up here with 90% dead plants. Rather then re-write the same thing 50 times, I'm posting this! It's a quick key to help give Newbies a handle on what caused their plants problem. I request Oldbies (is that a...
So I decided to pollinate my S. minor and 'Dixie Lace.' 2 days after I did my first attempt all the petals dropped from the flowers. Do I take this as a good sign that pollination was successful?
First off. My very first Utric flowering. I have five flower stalks on my U. sandersonni... One on my N. ampullaria chunk of sandersonni, one on the piece with my N. madigascariensis, and three in my sandersonnii pot. The one with the amp is nearly completly opened... It just has to flip up it's...
