    Lone flower Scape

I have a D. lanata that is now sending up a scape. I understand that Petiolaris Complex require another plant to pollinate. I'm hoping that anything in the fishtank will also flower, but so far nothing is inclined to do so. Is it possible to cut the stamens and preserve the pollen?

Forked sundew with flower stalk pictures

My mom recently sent me this picture of my forked sundew with a flower stalk. I'm not 100% on the species because I got it as a hitch hiker, but I'm pretty sure it's a D. dichotoma 'small red form'. The dealer I got it from said it's the only species he has that spreads around the greenhouse...

    Flower opened!

Finally, my VFT's flower has opened! I thought it would be tiny, but it's pretty big, compared to my capensis flowers. Is there any special way to pollinate it? Like waiting a while then doing it or something? I just tried to pollinate it now, there's a bunch of pollen parts and one thing in the...

    D. Binata Pollination

Well, after having this plant around for a while, it's flowering. I am familiar with how to pollinate these things, and so I have been doing that as the flowers open. They open 1-2 at a time interestingly, and close within about 36 hours of opening. I have heard people say that many of the D...

    D. arcturi Cultivation

Hi all, I am planning to recieve some D. arcturi material in a week or two. The thing I'm most worried about is the dormancy. I've been researching, and here's what I have so far: D. arcturi Altitude: 1400m - 1080m to sea level. Not self pollinating; need to pollinate. Grow on banks of...

    Pollinating Pings question

Two of my P. lusitanica are putting up flower stalks and I think my P. primuliflora is also. With that in mind I have a few questions. 1. are P. lusitanica and P. primuliflora self pollinating (if not, how to pollinate) 2. can they be crossed 3. if so, can someone post detailed instructions...

    Adelae Flowers!

After a somewhat thorough search on this subject, and not finding exactly the answer I wanted, I figured I'd give it shot. It's been maybe 1.5 months since I repotted and split a tiny pot of D. Adelae into 5 medium/small plants. Now at least two of them have flower stalks forming, (I'm...
