D. regia flower

Hi,

My D. regia is in bloom and i would like to produce seeds. The problem is that the flowers are closing before they are producing pollen i would like to pollinate the flower, is it normal for the flower to not produce pollen. Or is the D.regia self pollinating?

Regards :-(

Yes i know where the anthers are located. I have been pollinating flowers for 40 years but these flowers are not producing pollen. My question was does anybody know why?

Regards ???

Just so you should know, D. regia doesn't hybridize really, or so I've heard.

Edit: Ah! You may want to cross itself or with another regia. That's actually a good question. I have no idea why it wouldn't produce any pollen in time.

Hey there Fire rock,
I have no idea why your plant is not producing pollen.
I have only been able to get seed 2 0f the 7 years that I have been trying.
Please see my article inthe Fall BACPS bulletin.
If you ever get any pollen use today's pollen on yesterday's stigma.
4 years from seed and these plants still haven't floweed.
