Last summer I decided to build a floating island for some plants out of a large net pot and some empty drink containers with the idea that I would put it in the lake behind my house.
Some info:
-The lake water TDS tests at around 170-180 PPM.
-Media is around 60/40 to 70/30 perlite/sphagnum...

What can anyone tell me about this particular dew? I'm starting to get fascinated in it.
Is it relatively easy to grow? Where might I get one (PM me)? Recommended growing conditions?
I saw this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYSjcheileE, but it still doesn't seem to give me enough...
I have a terrarium that I'm keeping my Adelae in. The humidity is around 70% at all times (I also have some Neps in the terrarium). Whenever I feed the Adelae, however, the food will eventually turn into fungus on the leaves and burn the leaves a bit.
I use freeze dried bloodworms.
Is the...
I just received two sundews in the mail and they're looking healthy but they don't have any dew. To my understanding this has something to do with transfer shock. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to help them acclimate to my conditions faster. One of them is Drosera Capillaris and...
My sub tropical d. spat. 'fraser island' is going dormant(or at least I think so, it is growing all fuzzy in the middle with less leaf growth and not a lot of dew production). What should I do, soon the whole colony will be dormant:(:help:

Up for grabs are D. scorpioides gemmae and gemmae of an unknown pygmy sundew. I've got enough for 3 packets of 15 gemmae each of the scorpioides and 3 packets of 20 of the unkown gemmae. I recently receieved these from Kinjie in a very generous SASE. I asked him if it was alright if I shared the...
This past summer, I obtained a D. filiformis "Florida Giant," the real thing this time for those who know the story of my other D. filiformis unknowns. Just before the plant went into dormancy, I cut the last good leaf it had to try and propagate more and thought I would share the result, pics...
So I got a few new Sundews recently, and have taken one picture a week. Hope to continue doing so, but kinda excited, so I figured I'd share. From top to bottom: Arrival day, 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks:
Drosera 'Ivan's Paddle'
I cut off the flower stalks on this guy, as I...
I am looking for pygmy dew gemmae, and I have a bunch of Sarracenia hybrid seeds, and I set some aside to trade with. All of these seeds were mixed by yours truly, and were pre-planned for interesting and colorful crosses.
(oreo. AL x flava. atropurpurea) x flava ornata 50 seeds available...
I was wondering if others experienced this as well, or if this was just me.
I've got quite a little collection of aliciae as they tend to turn into weeds in their pots, forming offshoots and spawning little ones all over the place. As the mother plant gets older, though, it tends to start...
Following my -stravaganza theme of thread titles, I am starting a thread for my sundews. Up next are my pings and heliamphora. I wouldn't say I have a lot of sundews but my collection is steadily growing. I grow all my sundews in my homemade grow rack which I'll show a picture of in this thread...

Hello everyone,
My goal in this hobby is to grow plants using cheap materials with minimal electrical power. I'm an eco-nut and just hate spending money on electric bills. So, here is my homemade swamp cooler. I made it for $25-30 and it draws about 50W. Hopefully, this will allow me to grow HL...
