I recently bought this Pinguicula at an orchid show ; I assumed it was moranensis but the vendor informed me that he did indeed own moranensis, and the particular plant being sold wasn't labeled as it. I'm curious to see what type of ping it is (Mexican...
Hello all!
I have multiple plants that are now flowering, or will be in short order.
N. 'Miranda' and N. x mixta I have already collected from, though the latter is still flowering so very fresh pollen is available.
Within the next month to month and a half, both my N. 'Rokko' Exotica ( I think...
I can only write about what works for me in my particular conditions in the Pacific Northwest, results may vary for someone else. They are outside in full direct sun 8-10 hours a day throughout the growing season, from about April/May to October/November depending on outside temps. Outside they...
Hey Folks - I'm a pretty big fan of Drosera graomogolensis, Drosera esmeraldae, Drosera oblanceolata and would love to add any of them to my collection. I have several species of Drosera that are currently flowering and will be harvesting the seeds once the stalks ripen. If anyone has seeds of...
Hi all.
My H. minor is currently flowering and the flower should open within a week or so. Does anyone have a blooming Heli they can spare some pollen from , or some stored heliamphora pollen? I would love to give Heliamphora seed a try. Or, is there any way to self pollinate? I understand...

I was at the Golden Gate conservatory of flowers to see the carnivorous plant display and I saw this humongous N. truncata flowering (male I think, if you zoom in on the upper left hand corner you see a flower).
The leaves are I think 2 feet across.:0o:

Recently I was at my local garden center and was pleased to see a variety of cps ( VFTS, S.purperea, S.rubra, P.primuliflora, D.spathulata. And wouldn't you know it they were all covered in what some refer to as "death domes". The pings were all flowering and the VFTS looked happy, the drosera...

Received this pot from my cousin a few months ago and have been feeding it and providing it with some natural light. It's really exploded in growth and started to flower
i started my exploration of Oz with Troy offering to take me out to see some tuberous Drosera he knew about.....unfortunately while i came at a bad time for reptiles(winter down here) was the perfect time for tuberous Drosera....according to Troys field guide of plants of the area, the climbing...
I have a surplus of orchids, and these little guys need to find a new home! I am interested in anything really with a bias toward Sarracenia and Drosera. Hit me up with what you have.

This trade is for D. intermedia seeds. The plant was sold to me labaled as "Hardy Sundew, Drosera intermedia". I have had it for 18 months. It has flowered profusely in that time, frequently dropping seed in the LFS substrate of the terrarium where it lives, resulting in herds of volunteers...
Took a 10 mile stroll from downtown today to visit this park, which I only recently realized existed (a great personal failing after seven years here). Chief among the attractions is the Quaking Bog, a small naturally occurring sphagnum bog (park literature says it has an estimated age of around...
This past Saturday we had one of our most interesting meetings to date. Mat Opel was kind enough to host our June meeting at the UCONN greenhouses which he oversees and maintains. Here are some pitiful pics of a small part of their collection.
Greeting you right at the door of the Life Sciences...
Since lots of people like to make crosses with plants from other people on this site, I thought it would be useful for people to list out which plants they have which regularly flower and what gender they are, to make future propagation endeavors easier. Also a place to post which ones you...
