A couple things my collection is lacking...

Hello friends, I'm lacking a couple of things. First, I'd like to grow some s. leucophylla seed. Collected from a leuco field would be ideal! Otherwise, cross-polinated pure seed from nice plants is what I'd be interested in. I really like the species and want to raise a few of my own. Also...

Hi guys, Just decided that I should repot some of my cephs. One of the pots was at the floor of my 3' tall tanks and as ucan see...very green and not that great. Another one wasin a communal pot with other things..but you can see the media was looking very bad. The VFTs were starting to die, so...

Hi everyone, My name is Zack and I am from Bergen County, NJ. I live close to NYC across the river. I have been collecting CP's for a couple of years now. My favorites are Heliamphora's and Cephs. Wild Bill actually introduced me to this website. I met him at the New England Carnivorous...

This how i keep my cephs, id love to cover this entire shelf, with them.:0o: t-5 4 bulbs, humidity 40 to 60 percent, though I dont keep that close an eye on the humidity, day temps 75 to 82 F , down to 69 to 70 F at night. Ive had one of them drop the lids totally, and to my horror it was...

    Waterproofing Grow Space

So, old news aside, I have my own room now. And it has a bookshelf that's built into the wall. And I've just DREAMED about putting a small collection of HL plants there (helis, cephs, a few HL neps and dews) for months before I moved in, cause I knew I'd be in here someday. Anyway, I thought...

    Cephalotus 'Hummers Giant' suspicion ...

I suspect that a significant percentage of the 'Hummer's Giant' Cephs being grown are typicals. Why? 1 - similar to non-mutation VFTs, there is no way to differentiate one Cephalotus clone from another with absolute certainty 2 - HG Cephs command a higher premium than typicals (sometimes...

    CP Exhibit in Columbus, OH

A few weeks back, I made the 2+ hour trek to see this exhibit in Columbus. If anybody else is thinking of doing the same, let me tell you...it ain't worth it. The giant fake CP statues are great. The 9 ft VFT that closes when you push the button twice is awesome, but it is in a greenhouse...

Puget Sound growers: Cephs and Helis outside for summer?

So, I've got the itch to experiment again, but this time it's with some rather fragile subjects. I've noticed that my Heliamphora heterodoxa and Cephalotus are both a little dissatisfied with the conditions I've been providing them recently, so I was considering blasting them with sunlight out...

    suprising Ceph growth

I read in someone's thread that they mist their ceph's once a day. So I've been doing just that for the past 2 weeks and my ceph has put out an amazing amount of growth. As of now, 1 adult pitcher has almost fully inflated in less than a week. And 6 more adult pitchers have shown up over night...

Hey, I have an N. ventricosa 'red' that I'm getting ready to take some cuttings off of. I know this isn't exactly a rare plant, but I'm hoping to trade for some lowlanders for my new terrarium or anything that will grow in windowsill conditions. I prefer neps, but may also take interesting...
