You may have seen these guys on thinkgeek as the mini pet cactus. I bought one two years ago, and she was great! I named her fluffy, wore her around my neck, and brought her everywhere with me...

Alright.. *rubbing hands together* where to begin. lol.
I've been doing research for the past couple weeks on what I want to do, or what I NEED to do.
My goal is to grow a bit of everything, including Lowland Neps, Cephs and Helis. I've asked around, done a TON of reading, and i'm still...

This pot of cephs I put outside a few weeks ago.
They just love the Spring weather here with the cool nights.
They are starting to color up pretty good, probably in another week or two they will be all red. They recieve full sun from sunrise to about 1pm. These are all Hummers Giants, just not...
Hi All
I used to be on these boards a long time ago, By chance i stumbled on them again.! I still grow these wonderful plants at home. I have a few bogs and and a pond with pitcher plants and sundews around it and Neps and cephs in the house on window sills. I hope to be around for a wile and...
Most years around this time, I notice some of my Cephalotus have formed some odd-shaped leaves / pitchers (actually, they are usually some combination of the two. John Brittnacher did an informative write-up on Cephalotus pitcher development over here for those interested.) In 2008, I posted...
I have 5 different typical cephs for trade. They are divisions of my larger momma plant that i divided 3 months back.. and took leaf cuttings last year... added some bottom heat and here they are. I grown them in a terrarium/conservatory with orchids and a heli.
Please note the relation to the...
Hey TF. Last October I imported many small cephs from CZ Plants out of the Czech Rep. Now they have grown to a decent size and are currently displaying a fantastic red color. These plants will have a very promising adulthood. For those of you who like to diversify their ceph collection, the Cz...
Has anybody else experimented with lowering the water/soil pH with any of their CPs? They tend to like more acidic conditions (except Pings) so i bought a basic pH test kit and have been adding small amounts of distilled vinegar to the water I've been using to get it to a pH of 6.0-6.5 &...
Hello everyone, I wanted to share my D. graomogolensis, it's potted in pure LFS in a tall pot and really seems to do its own thing. The pot constantly goes completely dry (to the point of the lfs being hard) before again being tray watered (shares a tray with some neps and my Cephs). Outside...
I'm a bit confused on the care. I've done a lot of reading on a few different forums and have seen them growing on windowsills, in terrariums, out of rocks, in driftwood, sitting on tables outside, etc so needless to say I've so enough to confuse me to the point where i really do not know what...
Hello everyone, I've had this problem with every cephalotus I've had. Every now and then, my cephs will just randomly revert from mature pitchers, to immature pitchers... or some kinda of semi mature-ish pitcher thing... I Don't like this at all and it's very frusterating!!
Does anyone know...
Anyone have any spare Cephs or Helis for trade i don't care if there seeds, seedlings, medium sized, or mature sized plants i just want any form of them and i don't care what variety i just want one of them or both i have thousands of Drosera Nitdulla x Pulchella Gemmea and i have some venus...
Are Nepenthes slow growers for you guys? I'm certainly not very happy with the performance of mine. In a year's time my highlanders don't grow very much!...but they're small yet. I've had two indoors, and they grow quickly compared to the ones outdoors.
I'm thinking of sticking with Sarracenia...
Hello friends,
Since cephs apparently grow well in San Diego, and they grow well with VFTs, I'm going to make a little bowl of them and three vft cultivars.
So far, I've (thanks to Growing Old and Doku,) I've got a HG and a large typical lined up. I just need two more typicals. Genetically...
While I usually keep all my plants well separated and labeled, I'm contemplating dropping a few Drosera in my Heli terras. I'm thinking of dropping some in the pots of my Heliamphora..unless you guys think I should drop some sphag in the terra itself and drop them in that, or just in entirely...
