The weather was nice so I decided to take my neps out of the grow chamber for maintenance and feeding for a change in addition to repositioning them in the chamber.
enjoy:
first up is what i call ampullaria crimson. It was given to me as a basal and I have decided to keep it but the owner...
Received this mexi-ping as a single rosette, in a trade last fall with 31drew31.
Since then, these basal rosettes have forced themselves out from between crevices in the bottom rows of leaves on the mother plant,
resulting in a Hen-and-Chicks-like look for this P. x 'Florian'.

Hey Guys! Today I repotted my N. Ventricosa x Spathulata into a much bigger hanging pot.
I'm hoping it will cascade down and send up a basal or two to fill up some of the space in the pot, but I think I want to get another nep on the other side. I need a suggestion for a nepenthes that...

Hey guys,
Up for auction is one seed grown Nepenthes lowii x campanulata. Plant has 3-4 basals currently along with its main growth point. I grow this plant in intermediate-HL conditions. Pitchers are 2-3 inches on the main growth point and fluctuate on the basals depending on the size of each...
Hi all, I guess I'll make a permanent pic thread too!
First of all, my outdoor plants made it through another winter! The N.xPredator took the most damage, and I had to move the N. thorelii x aristo indoors due to cold damage. The rest cruised through:
Here's N. platychila x veitchii. I...
After much deliberation I have decided to replace this particular nepenthes in my limited collection. If I had more room available I would keep it but there are so many other neps I would rather have also I have a nigro gracilis x mirabilis that will pretty much look like this gracilis except...
I have a HL/intermediate nep hybrid that i thought was a LL'er, doh! I would love to see it survive and was wondering if any one would be interested in trading a LL nep for it. It is still in pretty good shape and has a basal and several new growth points popping up. I would prefer another nep...

Hola, amigos y amigas!
Today I noticed a good sized basal on my miranda that I had not seen before. Four inches or so, tip to tip, or thereabouts. I can feel its connection to the plant just below the top of the soil, and think there should be some attached roots as it is partially buried...
This may be my first nepenthes basal. at first I thought it was a weed but then noticed it's location in proximity to the other plant's root system and after a gentle tug am pretty much sure this is my first basal shoot......thought it was a ampullaria thing but I guess this winged mirabilis x...
A couple weeks ago, I purchased most of French3z's nepenthes. He did an incredible job packing with very little damage to the plants.
Enjoy!

Lately it seems like many of my nepenthes are in a funk. Some continue to grow leaves but have stopped pitchering while others have slowed down all around. Quite a few have spouted basals in the past few months so that might explain some of it. I moved to Texas at the beginning of September...

So I was doing some decorating for Halloween, and I accidentally broke the growth tip off of a basal shoot on my nepenthes...can it recover or am I out of luck there. I'm feeling like a big dumb because of it.
Nep quasi-noob alert.
I've been growing an AW N. inermis for a year or so (looked at my records - actually since Dec 9, 2010). The main vine (& the smaller basal) have produced pitchers on every leaf since I received it. Over the past two months, the pitchers on the main vine have moved...

Hope it sends out a basal soon , id like to have another to put at the other end of the terrarium , it would be cool to have this tank full of these pitchers.
