I've been struggling to find any Aphids in the garden then I came upon these voracious predators. Puzzle solved I believe.

Hi, I have aphids on a venus fly trap and I was told to use rubbing alcohol to kill them.
I did that, only there are still aphids!
I have even submerged the plant in water for a day and still nothing!
I have tried neem oil and nothing.
I'm starting to think that these aphids are like...

This terrarium had bugs I believed were aphids many years ago, I have not seen any in years and just last month used the "dry ice" pest method on all of my terrariums so make sure you understand and treat these plants accordingly

Afternoon, terraforums. It appears that my vft's have aphids. How the heck do I kill these things? I've heard about mixes involving canola oil. Are there any insecticides or mitacides that are safe for CP's that would work? Thanks.
Looks like one of my Sarracenia pots has been hit with an aphid infestation, but before I do anything I'd just like to confirm that it is aphids, and also ask about recommended treatments. First time encountering them.
Pot is also host to some D. capensis and VFTs, but keeping the Sarras is...
Hi everyone,
I have really been hit hard this summer with pests on my CPs. I have found Mealybugs, Aphids and what I think is some kind of Mite. I have not been able to identify it yet as it is very small. I do know that it is red/orange in color.
So I am doing some research on methods to get...
In January, my Utricularia chrysantha began to flower. However, since the container I was growing them in was too short, the flowers hit the lid and began growing sideways without flowering. In March, I transplanted them to a much taller container and the stalks began to grow upright. They still...
I'm developing a fairly serious aphid problem in a few of my trays (Drosera mostly at this point), and want to try a topical application of Neem oil per this article on Grow Sundews. However, I'm having trouble getting the neem oil to emulsify. The label suggests using 2 tsp of dish soap per...
Hey I have some little N. attenboroughii seedlings that I just noticed have some small white bugs running around in there. I was thinking maybe aphids or something any help is appreciated.
A sundew that had a bunch of aphids on its flower stalk was sprayed with the alcohol / water / dish soap solution. The leaves still have their dew and I don't see any aphids. Not sure if they were eradicated or if they found new homes. I sprayed a few other sundews (capensis, mostly) that had...
I'm having an issue with several of my vfts. The plants are growing in a mixture of peat moss, perlite and sand. They get at least 8 hours of sunlight a day and are watered with distilled water, not too much water, just a bit in the bottom of the saucer and they never dry out. It's hard to tell...

A few months ago I immersed 3 pots of D. capensis for a few days, because of aphids. I replaced the media, entirely and all plants recovered and I am now seeing evidence of aphids again! I did make up a new batch of Neem...
This little guy has been suffering from an unknown pest for a couple weeks now:
It's been able to continue growing, but I fear it will die soon if I cannot treat for the pests. I have quarantined the plant and I don't think any others in my setup were infected. Here are the symptoms...
So, the story:
I got S. xFormosa and S. purpurea ssp purpurea x courtii in winter this year (June-ish) by mail order. They arrived in fairly good condition and dormant. I potted them and sat them in a north facing window. Formosa went off like a rocket and was visibly growing every day. The...

Last weekend I was out collecting green aphids to feed to some baby mantids. I discovered that every time I walked through a patch of
Scotch broom I ended-up with numerous of the little bugs aphids scattered around on my shirt. So I would just crash through the plants, pick off the aphids, and...
