CP Photos with New Flash Diffuser!

Yesterday my Honl Traveller8 softbox finally arrived, so today I went to go take it for a spin. What a difference it makes! The photos look like they were taken in bright ambient light with little/no flash (and an awesomely small aperture), which is the ultimate goal with flash photography. Without the flash the photos came out pitch black, so none of this is the ambient light. Anyway, I'll just post the photos.

None of these are my plants and I didn't write down names, so if you have some IDs on the sundews feel free to post them.

Drosera spatulata × capensis

Cephalotus follicularis

Drosera sp.

Drosera sp.

Drosera sp.

Sarracenia purpurea × ? Look at that nectar! :O

Sarracenia psittacina

beautiful, beautiful, BEAUTIFUL pictures....

you grow tuberous dews? talk about jumping with both feet into the water!
also loving that sarr hybrid. wow! that one is sooooooo dark. beautiful!

thanks so much for sharing!

What in the world kind of tuberous sundew is that?

Wild pics!

I'm pretty sure one of those Drosera sp. is a D. capensis.

Thanks for the replies everyone. :)

I've just been informed the little "puffball" looking sundews are Drosera enodes. I'm pretty sure the one with the strap-like leaves isn't D. capensis - it had some other name on it that I consciously tried to remember when I read the tag, but you know how that goes...

Thanks again guys! Here's a shot of my flash:

Very nice pics of some great looking plants Natalie. Congratulations on your new acquisition:).

The picture of that flash diffuser is TERRIBLE! Out of focus, harsh shadows.... Have you considered using a flash diffuser?

PS: I'm not being serious. ;)

Great photos! :)

LOL, the shot of my flash actually isn't out of focus, that's just the best my phone could manage in the crappy light. :-))

Thanks guys!
