I'm trying to step into the early oughts and see if I can profitably use Flickr. [edit: sigh, not really. The links work at least.]Here is some happiness from my garden and lab:

The snails ate the leaves off mine after i few nights of being set outside. I dug them up, layed them down flat and covered with a half inch of chopped up sphagnum.
This is them after recovering for a couple months back in the terrarium :D
Edit: dang i can't edit the title? can someone...
Greetings all!
I have been propagating my nepenthes over the last month or so and have a few Neps which will be avalible for trade here in the near future. Right now, I have a fully rooted N. x 'Balmy Koto' up for trade. The cutting was taken in February and has been rooted and well established...
Hello,
The lowland Nepenthes house needs variety, so I'm seeking any Genlisea besides hispidula. Can offer juvenile H. minor or nutans, D. hamiltonii, binata, admirabilis, kaieteurensis, small D. capensis "Bob Ziemer's super wide leaf", small U. alpina x endressii, juvenile cephalotus. In the...
I was stuck at the Atlanta Airport between Panama and Michigan yesterday and happened across this wall of awesome bronze Nep sculptures...figured most of the folks on here would appreciate them so I snapped a few pics to share...enjoy!
Probably 3-4 months ago a very generous member of this forum sent me a leaf pulling from each of three different types of cephalotus. While 2 of them died, I arrived home today after being gone 2 weeks for work to see the 3rd pulling has shot out quite the small plantlet!!! (Pictures coming...

It's just opening up so I suspect I have a bit of time, although I've never dealt with a flower before so I'm not sure exactly how this game is played. Holla if you'd like to make a hybrid. It's a really awesome looking plant with a gorgeous striped peristome. Super colorful!
I pollinated these flowers around April 9 or so. This is a N. veitchii x x 'Tivey'... I pollinated with N. vent x inermis (which someone I gave a bit of leftover pollen to reported didn't work on their Nep), I pollinated with N. ventricosa red (which someone I gave a bit of leftover pollen to...
Hey all, I know these posts can be somewhat obnoxious, but I've found some great plants through requests like this! Thanks to all who have reached out in the past :hail: Scroll down for a list of things that I'm looking for regardless of trades for the below plants.
I'll start by saying that I...
Hi everybody,
For many years now, I've been growing the super rare hybrid Dr. rotundifolia x linearis (or the opposite, sorry, I don't know, lin x rot) .
I'd be happy to swap the ever-growing population I'm having here, it grows like weeds.
Basically (cf other tread) I am interested in Dr...
Hello!
I am a London based amateur carnivorous plant owner. I have had a nepenthes Alata since last summer, which is growing leaves well, but hasn't grown any new pitchers yet (the old ones died off over winter). And I yesterday took receipt of a Venus fly trap from this website's shop. Super...
Last weekend I sat down and built a flash diffuser using foamcore, white paper and white duct tape. I wanted something that would be super quick to set-up with the flash mounted directly onto the camera hotshoe (I am a big believer in the KISS principle). The working distance for my 35mm macro...
Hey there, I'm pretty new to these forums but when I saw this flower I had to post!
So I was casually looking at one of my Drosera capensis that lives in an outdoor aquarium I have when I noticed, first of all, that there were small leaf-like protrusions opposite some of the florets. So of...
Greetings all,
I am procrastinating right now and avoiding responsibility for just a few more minutes so I thought I would make a list of some of the carnivorous plants I think are best to start with- a long with some comments. This list is meant to be pretty general and is perhaps USA centric...
I just have a quick question. The adapter that I use for my ro filter just needed to sorta not work. It works technically but it's too loose so it sprays water everywhere. I need to buy a new adapter but in the meantime can I temporarily water my plants with tap water...just my super market...
hey everyone, i am doing lots of spring re-potting these days so i wanted to show you how i do my drosophyllum.
all my plants are about 14 months old. however some of them have remained small due to their small pot size and the one with the largest root space has not only dwarfed them but put...
