Pygmy sundews, there have been posts here lately, anybody have any left? Trade or?

Hi, Recently I participated in a giveaway here and received some D. scorpiodes gemmae-also in the package there were some D. pulchella gemmae that did not survive the trip. Thought I would ask if anyone had any left, seems to be the season. Thanks if advance if so.

    Pygmy sundews in moist media

These were hardened from tissue culture and are growing on live sphagnum moss. I have seen D. puchella growing in swamps together with Cephalotus but the D. leioblastus is just an experiment. D. puchella D. puchella (orange and red vein) D. leioblastus

Thinking about starting a collection again...

Hey guys. I'm not sure if you remember me but I'm sorta interested in making a carn plant comeback! I had to give away everything for college ;( For now, I'm looking for small plants that are like pygmy sundew size. They also need to be able survive less than 8 hours of sunlight on a...

    Impurities in greenhouse watering system

I keep my carnivorous plants in some spare space in a propagation greenhouse at the University I attend. The plants are all watered (by the greenhouse manager) through a fertigation system which delivers water soluble fertilizer through the irrigation system. My plants are on one of the "Do Not...

Getting Botrytis in my new hobby greenhouse--need air circulation tips

Hi everyone! I just built one of the infamous harbor freight 6'x8' greenhouses. It's been great to have so far and I'm slowly stocking it full of cacti, succulents, Pings, and Drosera. It is heated to 40F and goes anywhere from 50-70F during the day. I check it twice a day and noticed that...

From a bugs point of view...

I wanted to try and see what a future victim of my plants voracious appetites might see before he wanders into a trap. I set my little 20$ camera down in the planter and managed to get a few shots that weren't so blurry. I was particularly inspired by this rockin' Utricularia leaf in behind...

    Dividing D. aliciae

Anyone have advice on dividing this thing? Since it flowered this summer, my alice sundew has divided 3 times, making 4 total sundews stuck together. I just don't know where to begin. I have only separated pings, sarrs, and VFTs. Here are a couple pictures:

    CP Dormancy care

Hello all this is my first dormancy with my plants and I've already had some of my sundews go dormant. My question is how much water do the plants Need during the winter? I am in Charlotte NC if that matters and the plants are grown outside. I'm growing VFTs, Sarrs, and some temperate, and...

Issues with Drosera Capenses - Help Please!

Hello all! I have a feeling that I am just doing one thing wrong that my sundew does not like, however I am not sure what it is. To give you some background, about 7 years ago I used to own multiple sundews, Drosera Capensis Albinos and Pygmys, as well as a couple of different Nepenthes and...

    Teaching a class on CPs!!!!!

Hey guys! I am ridiculously excited because I just pitched an idea for me to teach a class on CPs at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. I know a few staff over there, and since I already exhibit CPs at one of their events the idea went over really well. It will probably be in the spring and...

Unintentional, late-season overfeeding of S. leucophylla

Hey, I recently scored a nice white-top at a plant sale. I was a little wary of buying a plant like this late-season, right before dormancy, but I went ahead and got it since I knew it came from a good source and I don't know that I'll find any of these locally outside this one bi-annual plant...

Looking for trades to expand a teaching CP collection

Hi everyone! I would love to begin doing some plant trades in order to benefit my workplace and obtain a more complete and interesting collection of CPs. Because my teaching greenhouses aren't specifically specialized in CPs, there are significant holes in our collection and many genera are...
