And sorry about how horrible they look...1. it's not sunny out and 2. I assume they had a rough time in VA last winter...maybe I'll need to repot the whole minibog because the material was bad or something.

First off, are Ts asexual? Doesn't a female T kill a male if they are in the same cage? How do they reproduce? I'm just wondering because it would be great for my to-be G. Rosea female to have little baby Ts.

I finally got a nice S. psit anthocyanin free late last year in a great trade! The plant overwintered fine, but I looked yesterday to find a nice hole where it had been. Birds (I think) had pulled the Sphagnum for nesting, I assume, and the S. psit was apparently dug up and carried away also...
Just an assortment of pics from my trip. The Sarrs and some misc. CP's were all taken at a place in Snohomish, WA. The Nepenthes was taken at the Victoria Butterfly Gardens. The sundews and cobra-lily were taken at the Shorepine Bog Trail in the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, near Tofino...
Up for bid is this young S. rosea 'luteola' well established 4.5 month old plant. The plant in the photo is what the winning bidder will receive. There are actually two of them growing in a bathroom cup, but the second plant is smaller and not visible in the photo.
Yes, this is the real...
well i got some Nepenthes that I want to get rid of and would like to swap them for some various Sarracenias not on my list. PM me if interested, they are decent size, nothing spectacular, ill get pictures if needed.
US only please, it would be nice to do it all in one go to keep down on costs...
Pictures of the Sarr minibogs (and the vft container)...not much to see, but just in case someone's interested in how things are waking up for me (the s.rosea, d.capillaris, d.m. low giant and d.m. pink venus are new as of two days ago):
vfts: B52, Big Mouth, Low Giant, Dente, Home Depot...
What is the official nomenclature of these plants ? Is it only S.p.burkei that has been changed to S.rosea in order to separate it as it's own species ?
Thanks

Just wanted to share a photo and encourage anyone here who wants to grow Sarracenia from seed but was reluctant to try. They really grow and develop quickly. These seedlings are a year old...... an S. flava, a S. leucophylla, and a S. oreophila. They are in 3" pots.
<a...
I thought that the two plants would look pretty similar except for shape, but the color on the rosea antho-free is a lot more pastel than the purp purp heterophylla - which has a much more intense and neon coloration as you can see:
The shape is typical of rosea and purp respectively.
PM me if you have the species listed here and you want to trade. No posting in thread please (excluding myself). Thank you for your interest and cooperation
I will trade generously--of what I have.
Bold species are most highly desired.
