Okay, so all the N. 'Effulgent Koto' pitchers I've seen have stripes on the peristome. However, mine hasn't made a single striped peristome pitcher. So I just figured they'll get their stripes when they get bigger. Well, they're getting pretty big and still no stripes. I have two of these...
Hi guys,
In years past, I have cleaned out my bog and made a couple of auction posts on the splittings.
This year, I'm going to throw everything in ONE box (and I will label stuff as best I can - but there are some things where the tags have broken, gotten lost, or never were...so you will get...
Let's see if you guys can ID this nepenthes. On another forum N. x Mixta was suggested but it really doesn't seem to be that. There are some spots on the inside of the pitcher too. Any ideas? (Sorry for the large pics)
A few months ago I posted pictures of a mystery Nepenthes. We never did come to a conclusion, only because the little guy was too young. Today, however, it surprised me with a super-duper-sized pitcher with certain distinguishing features. Perhaps now we can tell!
This plant has shown me that...

I'm hoping some of you tinkerer/electrician types out there will have some advice for me. I'm getting back into electronics/robotics tinkering and no longer live near friends I can bum tools from. So, I'm in the market for my own soldering irons, multimeters, circuit testers - maybe even an...
Well I was in need of getting my mystery snails a good source of calcium and I ran across a technique on the applesnail.net forum for this DIY calcium brick / weekend feeder for snails (or fish) that anyone can do in a few minutes. So I played mad scientist tonight and took pics along the way...
I got a shipment of pink and purple mystery snails a while ago and they are growing great and eating like little vacuums but they are no longer pink & purple. More or less yellowish with a brown swirl, a rather common color scheme. Have any of you had these pinks and seen them change on you...
I got a nice clump of U. sandersonii in a very generous trade with SDCPs. But what do you know, it seems to be a gift that keeps on giving!
I repotted the Utric into some better media today and in the process found a neat little sundew seedling I had never seen before. So, I snatched it out and...

OK, now thanks to Master Grower I am interested in snails and I want to get a few and grow them as big as possible. I was wondering if anyone else is into raising snails.
Locally we have black and gold Mystery snails and various darker colored / patterned Nerite snails. On ebay there is also...
Hello TF'ers
A few days ago I got a Blue Mystery Snail for my U. Gibba tank. It's pretty big, about 1 1/2" shell. The problem is, I have a "colony" of brown pond snails in the same tank and I'm not sure if they will get along. I have seen the pond snails on the blue mystery snail's shell and...

P.S.: anyone care ti ID. the mystery plant?
Alright then, I asked for an ID on this hybrid before but it was difficult to tell what it was because the pitchers on the plant were not very well developed....Well it has made a pretty good pitcher now and hopefully someone will recognise it now......
So....any guesses? Personally, it is...
