I found this plant in my front garden and was hoping someone could help me identify it. I live in Southern Coastal Georgia one street away from the marshes. Our yard almost always has standing water and the soil is very damp and has a high salt content. The plant was found coming up out of...
Hello! I'm new to carnivorous plants, and currently own Drosera adelae, Sarracenia x 'Judith Hindle',and a mystery Nepenthes that has only one pitche. All of these plants have been bought from Lowes in the 'Death Cubes'. They were an impulse buy, since I started reading my friend's carnivorous...
I bought this of eBay, thinking to use it as a horn for the boat, but my friend won't let me mess with it until I find out if it's valuable. :-))
I know it's O-L-D, and it had a rubber bulb on the end to blow it with, but after that.... no idea. ???
I only wanted it for it's really neat...

Over the past two weeks, I ordered from several nurseries at different times. I coordinated it so all the plants would arrive on one one day. And today, they all arrived!
I added the following to my collection:
Pinguicula Agnata (El Lobo)
Darlingtonia Californica
Nepenthes Singalana
Nepenthes...
About a year ago, I posted some pictures of my highland shelf/alarm clock. I was snapping a few pictures today and thought I'd make an update.
Not a Nep, but one of my favorite plants from this shelf. It took me three or four years to get the hang of this genus, but it looks like it's finally...
At the plant festival yesterday, I got some sundews in addition to my VFT. I got some D. Burmanni, D. Indica, and a mystery plant that is covered with Pinguicula-like tentacles and it happens to form a stem.
The mystery plant is the green plant between the Indica, Burmanni, and pygmy...
So here's my P. moranensis. I repotted it in 100% pure perlite (no vermaculite or APS locally), but I'm hesistant. I'm thinking of lowering the soil level a bit, I'm not sure how much capillary action the perlite has. (I.e., will an inch of water under the perlite get the moranensis's roots...
Got back home 2:30 am this morning. Here are how the plants are.

Today I recieved Ozzy's petulantus mystery dew (blue) from the NASC auction. He was also generous enough to send a few extra sundews (not pictured, but much appreciated :) ) I potted it up and put it in the greenhouse, and decided to take a few pics.
It only has a little dew right now, but...

I'll give hints to this mystery dew, but I will not give it's true ID until it is received by the winner. If you can ID this from the description then please don't post it and ruin it for everybody else.
This mystery dew is the same as the other I have up for auction but the puteulanus form is...

The mystery dew's typical height is about 6 inches high. I have seen some as high as about...
Hello Hello hello!
What I've got is a 6-pack of seed grown Nepenthes truncata. Seed came from Pyro a few months back if I remember correctly so I'm not sure about whether it is highland or lowland but I'm thinking its a Highlander. Four of the plants as you can see are very robust and the...

I had this Nepenthes growing in my windowsill for several months now. Almost a month ago, I noticed something starting to grow in the same pot. I let it grow and now I see the plant has tentacles.
It may be a little too early to tell, but does anyone have any idea yet?
