Since I grow lowland neps one would think they are all easy but not so.........I would say that to date my biggest diva is probably Mirabilis var echinostoma.....i dont know if they are all diva's or I got a weak clone....it's worse than my northiana but then again the northy is small....i hear...
Thanks to dexenthes for the idea
My dream Heliamphora hybrid would be h. Minor " burgundy black" x Heliamphora neblinae "Mysterious Giant"
And for cephalotus it would be c. Gunners giant x czech giant
How about everyone else
Due to the generous nature of many of the TF members and with summer almost over its about the right time for some giveaways.
So what are most people looking for? Keep in mind everything I'm growing is currently growing in 65-75 temps, maybe a little higher or lower.
Utricularia...
I know this lowlander used to be widely available, but I haven't run across it in a while, so I'm not sure what the current market value of it is. If anyone has a cutting/plant for trade, I'd like to hear about it.
As far as Neps go, I have a N. hookeriana with 8" leafspan or so I'd be willing...
things got a little mixed up this year and i am attempting to sort it all out. i think all these but 1 should either be species or variants. mostly rubra but maybe an alata.
that whole polar vortex messed thing up and they could very well be duplicates of each other bc i do remember cutting and...
And like most plant folks who live where the snow flies, one of the major limits on what I keep is lighted space. My house doesn't have much window space, and some of what's there is reserved for cats. I have a few set ups with artificial lighting, but still run out of space every winter...
I've had my Nepenthes grow tent up for a couple weeks, and I have been recording the day/night temperature to get a feel for what conditions I get with no supplemental heating/cooling. I've been recording the min/max temps for each day, as well as the % humidity (I addressed this in another...
I have a cut basal of lowii x boschiana starting to send out roots, a nep Caesar, and typical cephs with adult pitchers up for trade. I would like to hold onto the cephs till they get larger. I am looking primarily for nepenthes hybrids with lowii in them but let me know if you have something of...
A couple weeks ago I set up a large (2.5ft wide x 5ft long x 7.5ft tall) grow tent in my apartment for lowland Nepenthes and picked up my exotica plants preorder (~20 plants) from a local nursery here in the northeast. I use an 8-tub, 4ft. long T5 HO fixture, and my light levels and temperature...

Hey all,
I have a 5 inch or so start of U.nelumbifolia available for trade. It does not have a fully developed photosynthetic stolon, but has two that are starting off strong, but still juvenile. I love this plant, so I'm happy to get more growing out there. I can't figure out how to post a...
My male N.veitchii "Pink" is starting to flower. Pollen should be ready in a month or so if any of you have any female plants that will be ready around the same time. I would prefer the pollen going to another veitchii of any provenance but interesting hybrids would be alright too. Just looking...
Current official weather conditions:
Temperature: 101 deg F (actual temperature is probably lower because of trees and grass and shade)
Relative Humidity: 13% (actual humidity is probably higher)
Nepenthes receive approximately 2 hours of direct sunlight in the afternoon. I mainly water...
Has anyone tried to hybridize Glanduligera with some hardy Drosera? Say Filiformis or Filiformis x Intermedia?
I'm in Zone 7, but would like to put some of these outside. If I can get the trapping behavior worked into a strong hybrid, that'll do nicely.
How did you get involved with neps? Do you have a favorite? if so, what draws you to that plant?
My fascination with Nepenthes started long before I had the means to care for one. I had a VFT and a purple pitcher plant, and was reading up on their care, and in doing so, read about the care of...

I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for for some handsome nep hybrids (not ventrata) which will grow well in an office environment where the day/night temp differential is minimal. I've got a x Wrigleyana and a x Lorraine under a T5 fixture at my office desk. Assuming they do alright...
