This a picture of the plants themselves
and this is alink to pictures, not mine, of the pitchers typically produced...
It's mainly used in the vivarium community because it doesn't compact and drains really well, so I had some extra and was wondering if it might go well with pitchers?
Here is what's in it:

1 part milled sphagnum moss

2 parts fine tree fern fiber

Well at least I think its a fern... I'm no expert.
I have these and hundreds of larger ferns (that are all dormant outside).
But these smaller ones came out of dormancy early due to the warmer then average temps.
So I potted some of them up, I think they will look good among my other plants...

OK, so I live in VA, so I have been keeping my plants outside. I had 2 VFT's, a Purple Pitcher, and a N. Miranda (under a fern so it was shaded during the hottest times of the day.
Anyway, while I wasn't at home we had a large storm. When I inspected my plants (which were doing great up to this...
Hey everyone, :D
Well i decided poison dart frogs will be going into the 55 gallon fish tank. At the moment it's currently under construction.
For the drainage layer i will be using the egg crate method.
Any tips and tricks for the background would be great. I'm not sure how i want to do it...
These are all plants that I believe are capable of growing in bog like conditions.
If any of you would like to test this list, please go ahead.
Let's add to, refine, and make this professional looking.
I'll have to add pictures of each species, and alphabetize things later.

I just received a Sarracenia purpurea subsp. venosa {var. chipola}?
I am wondering if chipola is a variety, or is it a location like hurricane creek?
