  1. Chomp

    looking for Capensis seeds.

I am trying to get some cap seeds. Temporary Nep Crabitat tubarium

Overall 56 Quart Sterlite tubarium I've done two water changes now and what a difference it's made have a look! No flash this time so there's more 3D depth in the pic too. I know the water looks bad, it's from the freshly expanded Chilean sphagnum so I'll be doing 1-2 water changes a...

    Beetle and new vivarium

While I was planting my Kritter Keeper to vivarium conversion I spotted this little guy climbing the wall, anyone know what sort of Beetle it is? It's only about 1/4" long. I googled green beetle and there's thousands of em, but none with red legs and wings textured like this. Here's an...

    Mounting problems

Not actually in my life but rather, does anyone have any ideas on HOW I could mount this to the back wall of my vivarium? I bought two large pieces of this fern, lichen and moss colonized tree bark for use as "inoculation material" for vivarium backgrounds (these plants should take off onto...

    I got some new plants!

I received quite possibly the worst plants I've ever received today. Opening each plant was like a bad surprise party where each gift is worse than the next. Here's the worst two: N. ampullaria 'Harlequin' (assorted clones) I always wanted a red ampullaria but what is wrong with this one I...

    Newbie with curley new pitchers???

One of my grab-bag plants has the ends of all the new pitchers curled under sort of like a fern. It's the only plant doing this, is this common for a certain variety? I can't see any evidence of insect damage. I'd post a photo if I could figure out how.

What I found in my terrarium today

This is a moss terrarium, not a CP terrarium, which is how he came in, it's all locally gathered moss, so I assume the little guy must have hitchhiked in on a clump. (I drowned them before putting them in, to cut down on the wildlife transported, but obviously that doesn't always flush out...

    Biophytum sensitivum

This is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I got this with an order of Neps a while back, and placed it in the shady side of my terrarium. It was doing okay, but other than growing in height, new leaves only grew about 1/2" before dying off. Since removing the shading a week or so ago, it has...

    progression of my planted tank

This was it a while back. I've been taking it more seriously lately and doing more with it. I am using flourish, lowered the ph from 7.2 to 6.75 with a blackwater treatment, and heating the water to 80*F, but draw the line at co2. I just don't want to mess with it. I grow plants that mostly...
