So, apparently lots of people have bettas so maybe people can just post theirs here for us to OHHH and AHHHH over. Here is my dude and his tank. He is not very photogenic. He lives in a 5gal tank with 3 Endler's Livebearer males (basically invisible or very blurry in both pics) and some random...

This poor guy was trash out by a LOWES, it looked almost stone dead, so I brought it home and it seems to be alive and well now.:poke:

I really dont know much about this plant at all, I bought it a week ago at a garden centre, it looked some what neglected and really bizzare, it was very cheap but had no label to identify it. I researched it and found it was a type of staghorn or elkhorn fern , apparently its classed like an...

Hey guys. I've got adult cinnamon ferns (Osmunda cinnamomeum), adult interrupted ferns (Osmunda Claytonia), adult Christmas ferns ( Polystichum acrostichoides, which is evergreen), what I'm almost positive is some sort of beech fern or at least looks like it's in the genus Phegopteris. Or it may...
Hey guys. I figured before I bought new ones, I'd see if anyone had any used panels laying around. I have 24 in (w) x 16 in (h) to cover, so a total of 384 inches.
I don't really know what it's worth lol. We can work something out. Got plenty of live Sphagnum moss if you want that lol.
Lowland N.veitchii were thought to be growing in most part of the lower mountain range of Sarawak. Where they were sighted their population were low. Their growth habitat heath forest were mostly in inaccessible and untamed places usually at higher altitude. Through researching and interviewing...
Hey everyone. I have a few things up for trade. I'm not looking for anything particular. Send me a PM.
Staghorn fern x1
I've been neglecting it a bit lately so it's not perfect, but still in good condition.

Here's a fern (well at least I think it's a fern) that sprouted up in my terrarium and grew rapidly to be as tall as the terrarium itself. I have no idea what it is, but it has long roots running along the surface of the moss it's growing in. Anybody know what it is? I would very much like to...
Unknown pygmy with pink flowers.
This fern is happily growing in my Nep pot. I would like to ID it before I remove it and throw it out. In case it turns out to be something interesting. :0o:
I learned a new word today.. sympatricsym·pat·ric (sm-ptrk)adj. Ecology
Occupying the same or overlapping geographic areas without interbreeding. Used of populations of closely related species. I want to do a fancy nepenthes setup for my private collection and include a whole bunch of...
Has tree fern fiber gone out of style or was it ever in style?... when i do a search I find no refs post 2005, I have never used it before (not commonly found in Eastern Kentucky LOL)... but recently aquired a couple cubic feet of some fine grade TFF, it would seem to be the cats meow for a...
I have lots of this fern that has white powder on the underside of the leaf. It leaves a perfect imprint of the leaf if pressed against your hand or other object. I don't know what it's called...but it's a weed. It's attractive though...for those of you who like non-carnivores. I'll send some...
Well, so far I've had a lizard pop up, some crazy fungoids that we all figured were "gorgonian slime molds" (which have returned a couple times lasting only a day each time). Now about once a week I've been finding these things, I assumed them to be funguses also because they were on wood the...
I have a fertile frond on my Heimtonis arifolia (sp "Heart Fern") and I was wondering if anyone knows how long it takes for the spore to mature. Or how to tell when it's mature. It's my baby anoles favorite sleeping place so he'll be dissapointed when the frond dies.
Here's some updated shots of my baby anole and his house:
I got the terrarium canopy built and put a black foamcore behind the tank, I've added a lot of plants since the earlier pic, 3 alocasias, 2 Christias (more on these later), a lecanopteris fern and some more orchids!
The inside of the...
