I recently decided to get a Nepenthes x ventrata but before purchasing one I'd like to ask if these living conditions/environment would be good for it ?
- Sunlight during Winter : 2-3 hours direct sunlight, 4-6 hours bright indirect sunlight , 3-5 hours dim sunlight
I've never kept a CP as a house plant. I mean, I had a plant rack that was within my living space when I first started
But never had a CP as a house plant. Some may remember this thread where I mentioned my wife brought a Nep home to me. I figured what the heck, may as well have it inside...
Figured I'd post some pics of the plants and see if I could get some input. This will be some of my neps. I'll do the others another day.

Hello, yesterday I picked up a pinguicula Caerulea, it's my first ping and I could really use some tips to keep it alive. I know it's a warm temperate species, and that I need to use distilled, RO, or rain water only. I'm in zone 9b on the west coast and I'm not sure if it needs to be grown...

So I have 2 pitcher plants in a single pot. N.Alata Sprouted around July(Totally accidental, thought this was just a new stem since my ventrata is in a bending position ever since I got it last May). As you can see, my N. Alata(I assume it is alata since it has hairs on the pitcher) has already...

I recently fell in love with Nepenthes, and decided that I wanted to try growing some. Unfortunately, I've been having very little luck finding any.
I saw people posting online that they bought theirs at Home Depot and Lowes. I wasn't able to find any at Home Depot, and didn't want to...
I don't know what got into my head that day, but I decided to order a mix some Nepenthes seeds from eBay in January. I received them about 3 weeks later. When I got them, I knew there was no way they could still be viable. I sowed them anyway. I sowed almost all of the seeds on chopped LFS and...
I have a female ventrata with 6+ flower spikes currently. I have a bit of truncata pollen I will use, but am looking for other matches. I know it may not be an overly desirable hybrid choice, but if you have pollen going to waste let me know. 50/50 on any seed. Thanks!
Got my first nep Jan 2015, and hung it in a tree in south Florida. It was three six inch tall plants, ventrata, and it's now six or ten plants, the leader vining out to about eight feet long. The tree has pitchers hanging all over. I love it.
But it's in one of those tiny hanging...
