I've got a dinky little observation microscope and a point and shoot camera, but if you catch the light just right you can get a little bit of an image.
I think the plant might be U. longifolia... I cannot remember though. :suspect:

I am in the process of creating itineraries for different trips to see carnivorous plants in the wild here in the US. I'm designing the trips based on the wants of others as I likely will be leading groups of people to see these plants. They won't be able to collect seed, cuttings, or any plant...
Hello there!
I'm beginning to get into growing epiphytic Utricularia, and I was wondering if anybody out there had any plants they would be willing to offer. I'm also looking to start growing Byblis and Genlisea, but I realize these are often harder to find.
Any tips on where to look for these...
Hello everyone!
I'm a CP fan/grower who lives in Brooklyn, NY, and I was wondering if there were any other enthusiasts living in Brooklyn or Metropolitan New York who would like to meet up at some point and perhaps start a small meeting group. We could share plants, or organize trips, and...
Hey folks just testing the waters here. I have a very well established little clump of typical Cephalotus here that is growing well and beginning to produce mature pitchers. It's about the size of a silver dollar.
I'm not really sure what exactly I am looking for but things that come to...
Has anyone had any experience with growing Utricularia arenaria from seed? I know there's mixed reviews with starting Utrics from seed, but I have also heard that arenaria is a weedy species so perhaps it won't be much of an issue with this species. Any info will be greatly appreciated!
Does anyone know which genera of CPs are most likely to survive being in transit for a long time (e.g. a week)? My first guess would be Utricularia, since they don't take up that much space but are there any others? This is for an overseas order that I might be making.
Hey everyone, I've grown orchids and other miscellany, usually including one or two CPs, for a few years. My friend Kevin told me about this forum and I finally joined to learn more about Utricularias, a recently developed obsession. I'm intermittently active on a few of the orchid forums and...

Hello guys, I just recently got back to this hobby so I can enjoy the awesome carnivorous plants I once enjoyed before. However, I don't know how to take care of an Utricularia alpina x endresii. Can you give me tips and your experiences? Thank you very much; help is appreciated:)
Another aquatic up for grabs. Two starter portions of U. aurea. I obtained this earlier in the summer, and it grew/grows like gangbusters! Filling the top of a ten gallon tank and then blooming in a shower of yellow flowers. It then produced seed pods with thin six sided seeds. Do the...
I will be pulling out a section of Utricularia graminifolia from this setup http://www.terraforums.com/forums/showthread.php/115965-Utricularia-graminifolia-My-Experiences/page6 pages 6-7. Please note this UG is not clean, there will be mosses/algae/whatnot growing with it.
There will be 3...
OK I need some help... I'm relatively new to carnivorous plants and just when I think, OK I get this I run into something new! I was gifted a clump of utricularia gibba along with some other plants. Bottom line is I don't have a clue what to do with it! Please give me some starters? Thanks all.
Jeremiah Harris and I decided to check out the Harvard Museum of Natural History yesterday. There is a vast mineral collection on display as well as an array of stunning fossils, skeletons and Victorian era taxidermy specimens from around the world. In this diverse collection of natural wonders...
