All I know is that one is supposed to be P. 'Pirouette'. The other two were sold as unidentified Pings.
I assumed that was the top right one because of the compact rosette but I'm not sure.

A recent conversation has sparked my interest in this South African taxon. I've never grown it and am curious regarding it. It was discovered and named by Paul Debbert in 1991 but subsequent review reduced it to synonymous with Drosera cistiflora. I'm curious: is this caulescent like other...

I have two VFTs in my collection, both typicals. One turns very red when growing full size traps, and the other stays green with a little tint of pink. The small VFT was stunned by the big one.
I got the big one from NJnewbie, small from Lowes.
The big one grows upright, while the stunned one...
Sorry guys, I have to ask. What kind of bugs to feed my VFTs. I know enough not to feed them hotdogs at least...
I fed my typical rosette a small beetle that was crawling around and also tried a small cut piece of earthworm in another trap on the same plant. We'll see what happens.

I received an unconfirmed Orchidioides cross from a friend last fall. During repotting, I took a small section to plant in another pot. As time went on, it became more & more apparent that the two pots contained very different plants. For a few months I figured the utric had died & there was now...

Hi Everyone!
I have a lot of gemmae available, I traded this last year as it was labled (puchella large flower) but its actually omissa x pulchella. I love this plant it has a really large rosette and the flower scapes are really cool looking.

So, I'm sure many of us have discovered that it's a little difficult to transplant Pinguicula. The low-lying rosette of leaves makes it difficult to accurately plant it into the soil.
So, what are some of your ways of transplanting Pinguicula?
Personally, I take the plant, place it on the...
Hello Friends,
