Hello and Happy Holidays to everyone!!
I am doing a quick weekend giveaway. I will pick the winners on Sunday morning and mail these guys out first thing Monday. I have way more than I need (or have room for, LOL) so I'm passing on the bounty. Postage is on me, all I need is your address.
What...

Hey all!
Since only starting CP growing earlier this year, I've only gotten one batch of pygmy Drosera gemmae so far, which is D. occidentalis x pulchella.
I'd really like to expand my collection of these cool little guys, while hopefully doing the same for other folks.
D. occidentalis x...
Hey y'all. Any of you ever get a pot o' pygmies knocked off their shelf? Did they live? Someone knocked a couple of my prized lil ones down today and disturbed the media quite a bit. I for sure lost a couple in the clean up :headwall::cry:, but the others managed to stay mostly in...
Hi there.
After a pause of almost 10 years in growing CP (new jobs, moving abroad, etc) I'm finally starting again slowly.
For now I'm filling a homemade greenhouse in a plastic box (fitted with leds lights) and also growing a Sarracenia outside. After one year it still alive so I think that I...
This guy grew from seed over the winter in my pygmy tray. Should I leave it there, or move it to a bog garden where it can get a proper dormancy? Also, how would I move it without damaging the pygmies?
Here is how the RH and temperature (degC) changed from 4 Feb to 8 Feb, in hot and humid Singapore where I live. The readings are recorded by the datalogger every 10 minutes.
Genera of CPs I grow in above conditions
Dionaea
Nepenthes (lowlands and some intermediates)
Sarracenia
Cephalotus...
Have:
D. dichrosepala ssp. dichrosepala "Fish Track Rd."
D. allantostigma
Slight chance that D. scorpioides and D. roseana may be available soon--have to see how much they produce.
Would like to trade for any pygmies or pygmy hybrids not on my growlist.
Please get in touch via email, NOT PM...
I've just collected ~3 packets worth of D. scorpioides gemmae (10-15 gemmae per packet). I don't really collect pygmy Drosera, so I'm pretty open to any offers. As far as pygmy Drosera, besides scorpioides, I have pulchella growing very well for me. I've tried grievi and dichrosepala ssp. enodes...
This pod ripened before all of the others. Not sure why but the seed looks good.
The mother plant is S. purpurea ssp. purpurea Huron Co, ON.
Pollen from either S. rosea Mobile Co, AL clone U or S. purpurea f. heterophylla. I'm bad at not labeling. Can't make promises because they are grown...
Hi everyone,
I haven't been able to grow Pygmies here really well as they tend to go dormant with the ambient heat. However, the TC ones which have recently been planted out are flowering non-stop and one species is producing seed. If I didn't get the ID wrong, it is the D. occidentalis ssp...
This is part of my 'pot of unknown seedings + D. scop. + B. liniflora':
I'd like to try to get IDs on the pygmies, at least. I know the tall pygmies are D. scorps, and the two skinny looking things are B. liniflora. Any chance these photos are good enough to ID the others? I have absolutely no...
Hmm... So, looking at a pot of my spaced-out D. roseana (D. palacea ssp. roseana) pygmies.. There's one single plant which is producing white gemmae. The leaves on this plant look identical to the leaves on all of the other plants, but is gemmae appear to be devoid(?) of chlorophyll?
Has anyone...
Hi everyone! I would love to begin doing some plant trades in order to benefit my workplace and obtain a more complete and interesting collection of CPs. Because my teaching greenhouses aren't specifically specialized in CPs, there are significant holes in our collection and many genera are...

jpappy789's grow rack - recovery mode
This is going to be my motivation to put some more work into my plants...because, well, they don't look so good right now. Probably not as bad as I'm going to make it out to be, but I've certainly seen these plants at their best and this isn't it...and I...
Two separate trades available. Approximately, twenty-five gemmae to two separate growers. Requirements: Must be a member of TF for two years to the date of the post and know how to grow pygmies from gemmae to gemmae. I may want a couple gemmae back one day. I'm interested in other pygmie...
This happens with almost all my Drosera except my pygmies.
Scenario 1:
I put any Drosera in a tray of distilled water... This has been done with multiple container colors, sizes, ect. I fill it up to almost the top of the container and I either keep it at that level, usually over an inch below...
So in my pygmy drosera pots, there are large cultures of gnats growing. They started to hatch out today and there are a ton now. Not quite sure how to treat this. I guess I kept them too wet or something. What should I do about this? I put a bunch of drosera around the area to catch all that I...
