Hey everyone. I finally got around to typing up a list for you all. I'm pretty sure I got everything but not 100% sure. Also keep in mind I work in a greenhouse where we've got over 300 species of plants ranging from orchids, ferns, tropical fruits, cactus, ethnobotanicals and more. So if you're...
For the past three years now I have trimmed back my Sarrs and placed them into the refrigerator when winter came around. It wasn't until I joined this group that I realized they could survive in a bog outside where I live (Nebraska: zone 5b) if special care was taken. Next year I plan to do...

I'm up rather late (or super early now), and I spotted an unanswered question in the chat box by CPBobby about light windows. Here is a quick grab off my mobile Photobucket, showing a Sarracenia leucophylla x minor cross. Both of these species have light windows, AKA fenestrations, as do S...

A month ago, some of the pitcher tops turned brown, then all of them did...
Now all that they are making are the sun-absorbing leaves, no new pitchers.
The weird thing is that my flava, which are in the same spot, are doing fine:
The other sarrs (Psittacina, Scarlett something...
Okay folks, I took a head count and decided that this little beauty can go. I have been growing it outdoors for the last three years. It is in a five and a half inch pot During the winter months it is buried, pot and all, in the garden and stays there through snow, ice and cold. I am fairly...
Hola everyone! Haven't been able to post much lately because my internet access is extremely limited (just my phone unless I drive to find wi-fi), but this past weekend I went to De Soto National forest to check out the CPs and look for herps. I checked two new species off my list, Sarracenia...
I know that in the wild S. psittacina has been known to capture aquatic prey during flooding. Does anyone know how long can they be submerged for, or if it would begin to rot or kill the plant due to flooding being a temporary thing? Would it be a possible way to help curb the "wigglers"...
This is what I have so far. Just because I have it, does not mean I would not be interested in more. So if you have something available that is on my list don't count me out. UPDATED 3/22/15

So I'm very new to the CP community and me being the silly noobie I am I bought seeds. The idea of trading has really got me excited though. I've only got about 10 seeds or so left but I would happily trade for something equalish. I'm new to this so don't consider anything not worth of...

Up for auction is a small division of the newly-named (December 2011 CPN) S. x gilpini (S. psittacina x S. rubra gulfensis) cultivar 'Gorey'.
