We've had in characteristically cold weather where I live so I've been hanging the plant out during the day and bringing it in at night to avoid the cold. But sadly, I left it out last night and the temperature hit freezing.
Now the majority of the leaves are brown and wilting, not to mention...
Im kinda noob with heliamphoras. I have only one and it isnt doing great at all. It has only 3 green juneville pitchers left so there is hope. I use tap water to mist everything with my fogger. Could That be the problem?

Hi,
My plant is drying, although i have it in water.
Bought it at Bauhaus where it was fully grown.
Some of the pitchers are new since i got it about a month ago.
12 Hours of LED plantlight each day.
Hey all. Recently I noticed one of my nepenthes ampullaria pitchers had some brown spots on it. I didn't think much of it (I assumed maybe it was the way that pitcher developed) until I took a closer look at the pitchers of the basals and saw that one of them also has the same brown spots. It...
Hi,
Ordered Venusplant Seed from ebay and they looked like the black seeds which i have seen on pictures, o drowned them in distilled water a couple of days and into a pot with special soil, and they sprouted to my smiling surprise.
But i also ordered pitcher plants from banggood, which seeds...
Hi,
Since the other N. Ventrata vine lasted about 5 minutes I'm willing to trade a 12 node ventrata vine from my other plant. This form has a very pronounced peristome and larger pitchers (6 or so inches), it also has a growing point coming off of the side. I will be happy to trade for any...

Hi all,
Just reporting in from Georgia, where it appears that once again the plants in the teaching collection are breaking dormancy. Dare I say they might be the earliest pitchers and flowers yet in the northern hemisphere? Invariably, 2-3 weeks after the solstice all taxa in the collection...
Hi ! someone in my country grew some red variety of Nepenthes Ampullaria from seed. The plantlings has 1 year old, but to me, they seem too little for having a year...
So, I don't know what size expect for a young ampullaria ...could someone send here photos of 1 year old plants? or give me some...
Hello everyone,
I was just wondering if these spots are normal on dying leaves? The leaves at the bottom of the stem have died, and this one is developing spots rather than just turning brown. The stem is also starting to brown, but i think that is just the stem turning woody. This plant is...
I have several 6"-8" wide rooted Nepenthes Alata plants. They all have nice pitchers on them and are in great health. The colors on these are super variable with some being almost all red while others are mostly green. Grown in my greenhouse in central FL. I am interested in most if not all...
So I don't have a lot, but i'm super proud of my plants. I talk to them and tell them they are doing good. They seem to like it. Here it is:

I need some help here with my N. ventricosa x "Lady Pauline". I've had it for 2+ years now and it's just leggy and scrawny looking.
It was sold to me from a reliable ebay seller as a seedling. I've been growing it under intermediate conditions mostly.
I thought after the first year, it was in...
I beleive I may have gotten overzealous when I got my Maxsea for Christmas and over-did it on my Heliamphora heterodoxa x minor. The pitcher I sprayed the most seems to be browning a lot (I also attempted to give it some ground up betta pellets in RO water, I know rookie mistake to give it so...
I have an adult (single growth, produced pitchers 10-12" this past season) sized division of Sarracenia 'Mardi Gras' available for trade. Make an offer.
Note: I am more interested in acquiring small/miniature tropical (intermediate temp) Orchids than other CPs at this time.
Hi all,
I have a terrarium in my room containing a mixture of carnivorous plants. Recently the ants invaded the house and a few found my Nepenthes, now the pitchers are full of ants! When there was only a few I didn't mind, however their numbers are increasing. The pitchers are regularly...
Pitcher about to open! Anybody can guess what species is this?? It had a few pitchers when I got it but it all dried up.
I'll snap another picture when it opens so it may be easier to identify .
Hello,
I'm not sure what's going on with a few of my plants and am looking for help or advice. Some look like they have some pest damage and a couple have fairly recent leaves, still with pitchers (at least partly alive), that are drying up from the sides of the leaves. My plants are all grown...
Just wanted to share some photos of my neps and their progression. I grow my plants under LEDs. The problem I struggle most with is low humidity but it seems like really bright light helps harden my plants and sphagnum (resist drought). Ive built a second grow box to house larger plants though...
Okay, about two years ago I received two hamata from overseas, both the same size but different clones. They have been raised together but one has outshone the other. Here is the first, growing nicely, except only two pitchers right now, in a three inch pot.
And here is the other, still in...
