Petiolaris dews: which growbulbs should I buy?

I'd appreciate some advice from the Dew people: I want to set up a dedicated petiolaris dew tank. I have a paradoxa... I hope to acquire more in the near future (workin' on it :p). Paradoxa I have treated like capensis and it has miraculously survived despite the odds, so I want to start doing...

Working with cephs, dews, and LFS.

Still going to use this for droseras.. but I decided to use it mainly for cephs. Had to repot one, started using live LFS heads as top dressing, and just went nuts. I'll just add the dews later in the fall. Added a few ivy cuttings as well. In due time, this tank will be looking good. Sorry...

    New ping/petiolaris tank.

So it came time to move the small GH outdoors for the sarrs and dews. I picked up a tank and stand yesterday with my new CP's while up north at John & Tracey's, so I decided to use it for my pings and petiolaris dews. Here's a few pics of what it looks like after getting it setup. The lower...

    18"+ vining male N. spectabilis x ventricosa

I'm wanting to cut this stalk to let the massive basal grow out. I would rather trade it off than root it, and keep it. I just don't have the space anymore.. I'm looking for these, but will accept offers. I'll post a pic this evening. N. aristolochoides N. veitchii H/L (any variant) N. truncata...

    February pictures

Hi! It has been some time since I posted pictures here, so I uploaded fresh photos of few plants of mine. February is the shortest month, but the longest and hardest for me, since I wait for the spring so impatiently. :-) Plants like these help me get through it:-) (Some are new species to my...

    Drosera aff. ordensis flower

I have four species of the petiolaris complex flowering this month. Unfortunately the second D. paradoxa I had croaked soon after starting to come out of dormancy, so all I can do is make hybrids.

Do 40W, 24" Fluorescent Lights Exist?

I'm trying to get more light on my Petiolaris Complex and I have essentially a terrarium setup. It's 24" and comes with a ballast that has the capacity of 2-20W bulbs. Does anybody sell 40W bulbs for a 24" fixture?

    I'm Raising the Elevation.

I have two Lowland Nepenthes up for trade. It hurts my heart very much to offer my beloved Nepenthes bicalcarata up for trade and/or adoption. I would not trade it for the world if I honestly felt that I didn't have to. Unfortunately this plant grows to be the largest carnivorous plant in...

    Mixed Petiolaris

I happened to have the above 3 species flowering at the same time and I was hoping that my hand-pollinating efforts would produce something viable.

Grolux Wide Spectrum Bulbs 20 Watts

I've got a grow rack and a mini-greenhouse / terrarium with 2 - 24" bulbs per fixture. Do 40 Watt bulbs exist? I'm not getting the color that I would like to see on them, particularly Petiolaris Complex.
