Since it is taking a while for me to upload the rest of the ICPS pics (there are lots, and I'm busy with driving school for next few days) I figured I would give a bit of a tide-over till then. I was gonna post this anyways, but I'll just post it now!
So, after ICPS, my family and I headed down...
After seeing the aquatic cp's at the ICPS conference in Seekonk, MA last weekend I had to throw a aquatic cp tank 2gether. The day I got home I made up an aquarium and now the tea is ready and the water is stabilized. Im wondering anyone has any aquatic cps that they have a few too many of...
Hello!

Hi Folks:
We've started work revamping the preserve section of our web site. We've now got a link called "Meadowview Preserve System" which then has subsets called "Joseph Pines Preserve" and "Central Virginia Preserve". I'll be talking about both preserves at the ICPS conference but for...
Alrighty folk! This is going to be my final giveaway for awhile because I just finished repotting the last of my Sarracenia seedlings from this year. Ok, so up for grabs are 3 sets of 10 S. flava var. ornata seedlings and 1 set of 10 S. flava var. flava/maxima seedlings. There will be 4 winners...
Hi Folks:
We're really looking forward to the ICPS conference where we can catch up with all our friends, hear interesting talks, and see some really nice plants. Meadowview has a table and several volunteers attending the conference. We hope you will stop by our booth and hear about our...
I knew it would eventually. I've fallen for tarantulas.
It was Mass's pictures of the OBTs that did it. From there, I decided to check out some T pages, then I found Arachnoboards and it was all over. I'm hooked. No tarantulas yet (still researching like a madman) but I plan on getting some A...
Just some random photos I took in the past week:
Fireworks for Canada day, over our local waterfall and the skyline of Ottawa:
And a little Emerald Ash Borer I caught, he is currently in my freezer being prepared for preservation in isopropyl alcohol, for donation to my Bio teacher, for the...
Hi Folks:
Some good news. After three years of very hard word (grant writing, politics, state and local approvals, etc.) we closed Friday afternoon on the expansion of the Joseph Pines Preserve. The expansion takes us from 100 acres to more than 231 acres with the purchase of two adjoining...
So, folks, I know it might seem a bit mundane. It's so common, after all, but I'm curious about a couple things.
The CP Photo Finder notes: When N. "Miranda" was first introduced, it was sold as N. maxima "Miranda". The actual parents are unknown, but Vic Brown writes “thought by most growers...

Hey everyone! :D I stumbled in here while searching the web for highland terrarium cooler rigs and have since fallen in love with the place. I have been a member of the ICPS forum for a couple years but with such low traffic, it was a bit lonely posting there :0o:
I'll be posting my own step by...
I posted a while back looking for advice on building an automatically-irrigated raised bed system for my Sarracenias. After some great ideas from John B. on the ICPS forum (stock trough float valves!) and finding a YouTube video of a guy using a 12v demand pump, a car battery and a small solar...
You are bidding on: several Pinguicula lusitanica. Several plants (2, 3-5) like those depicted in the picture below will be bare rooted and sent to the winner. The original plants were grown form seeds received form the ICPS seed bank. In most temperate areas this species behaves as an annual...
