I decided to take some trap cuttings of G. hispidula today, and noticed something a bit strange.
The plant is producing one-armed traps on one side, and normal two-armed traps on the other. I checked and am certain I didn't simply snap the arms of some of them. There are small "stumps" where...
I have been asked for my growlist many times and I am really bad about keeping one so here goes (As of this posting this list is incomplete and only includes my Aldrovanda, Genliseas and Utricularias).

Hello to all!
I am a brazilian biologist trying to finish my Doctoral thesis on carnívorous plants of Paraná State, southern Brazil. My main interests are cultivation, ecology, taxonomy and conservation of Drosera, Genlisea, Utricularia and Heliamphora.
I hope I 'll find nice friends here!
I...
Recently my Genlisea flexulosa took a nosedive after stalling out, shrinking and eventually disappearing. I thought I had a multiple trade deal arranged over the last year or so, but that stalled out for unknown reasons. If anyone out there has mutiple plants for trade or one or two, let me...
I have a whole lot of Sarracenia rubra subsp. gulfensis "Ancestral Form", Crawford Co., GA that I started from seed ~3 years ago for trade. Looking mostly for Nepenthes and Genlisea but feel free to offer anything else. Generous amounts available, US only please. :-O

I've got an 8-inch diameter Nepenthes chaniana x veitchii up for trade. This is the common TC clone from BE and is a boy. It is well-established, originally purchased from Farin & Dallas ~1 year ago. I am mainly interested in Nepenthes and/or Genlisea species not currently on my growlist. I also...

I've had a couple "shots in the arm" with pygmy sundew gemmae and other assorted things, but what was once a thriving collection of butterworts is down to just a few. I am also missing a few basic sundews, like D. adelae, anglica, and aliciae. Here's my current grow list. Those with asterisks I...
I'm looking for any mature divisions of Heliamphora that are not heterodoxa x minor, these are not for me but would prefer ones different from the ones on my grow list in case I do want to get a division back from them later (they would be going to a botanical garden)

Hi,
I've been trying to find G. flexuosa and aurea...or even violacea, pygmaea, filiformis, repens, etc. Anything (other than G. hispidula) that isn't insanely difficult to grow. Feel free to PM me if anyone would like to trade, I have a few interesting items to offer.
Thanks!
Hey Everyone:
I somehow missed the flower on the stalk, but my Genlisea hispidula bloomed. I've taken a couple shots of the flower on the floor of the terrarium:
I'm not entirely sure how I missed the bloom; it must be very short lived. I've been checking every morning and evening and...

Sometimes i find myself really into Pinguicula then it shifts to Utricularia and then back to Pinguicula! I also have an interest in genlisea which interesting enough I found out all of these genera are from the same family Lentibulariaceae without realizing it.
What genera do you find...
I've been wondering for a long time why Genlisea is (or at least seems to be) so rare. The ICPS suggests growing them like terrestrial utrics, which doesn't seem particularly difficult to me. And a few sources mention that they can be weedy like terrestrial utrics. Yet I don't know any place in...
So after putting my entire Sarracenia collection on the back burner for years, I finally got around to taking a weekend to remove the shards of broken plastic that were once pots and clean and divide them. I'd like to trade these off for Nepenthes, Genlisea, or Sarracenia species varietals not...
Hey all, I'm looking for the following Genlisea species:
aurea
flexuosa
hispidula
lobata
metallica
stapfii
uncinata
violacea
I have lots to trade.
Thanks.
I'm looking for a good single species to display in the setup below it. The temps for this one will be in the 65-75 range year and will not get any dormancy. I'm wanting to allow for space for flowers so a keep the stalk height in mind. Lighting will be provided by some LEDs I figure, so...
