So my greenhouse is really jank and it is like 90% humidity at night but 60-70% humidity during the day and then the heater has the nerve to lower the humidity at night so it is like 60-70%... I need a fogger to keep the humidity high at all times. My swamp cooler doesn't humidify like I would...
Far as I know it has never been done but my Lowlanders seem to Love it! all of them are having growth spurts atm.
The increased vegetation seems to make for a more stable humidity since the aquatic plants are not efficient at holding in water so they seem to aspirate much more heat and...
So, I have three different gauges into my terrarium to monitor temperature and humidity in various places. I'm wondering which one to go by as a general reading because they all read differently.
My main sensor is a two in one temp/humidity sensor that controls a hygrotherm zoomed controller...
I bought a N. lowii x spectabilis in June and it has been growing well, however the sphagnum topping on the top continues drying out and even though I have been trying to keep it wet, it is turning white. Like it has been wet for the past like two weeks, but because it dried out one day (a few...
I have recently reorganized my setup that i use to grow my little ceph. The light is 6400k and gives off about 10,000 lumens, the humidifier is a repti fogger that is turned on in the morning at max until I cant see the humidistat and is turned on at min. during the day for a few minutes and...
I would like to ask if anyone in the forum have links or advice on a misting system for an 8 x 10 GH, Would a Fogger do the same as keeping the GH humid and cool during the day? or would it have to be a combination of both? I'm growing intermedia's and some higlands. Yes I'm adding a big AC for...
I know the tank is small but its all I have for now. This includes a tank, 24 inch light, repti fogger, thermometer/humidity guage thingy, and some aluminum foil at the top to prevent humidity from escaping. I still need to get a fan or two. Sorry for my horrible photography.
Side view...
I'm setting up a terrarium for some flytraps, sundews and maybe a pitcher or two in a 20 gallon aquarium. I'm not doing anything incredibly fancy but would like to include a waterfall with a pond fogger at the top.
I've made "enclosures" for the water pump, and the fogger and will have those in...
I was browsing through the net and came across one of those pond foggers.....for those of you considering a beginners terrarium this will help you with the humidity for a mere 30 bucks....My terrarium is setup so the plants sit on isolated trays about several inches of water so the supply will...
Many of us here have made use of the DIY fogger system in order to increase RH in enclosed growing spaces. Unfortunately depending on your location and/or settings, the water can potentially drain rather quickly. In my experience I have to usually refill a 5 gallon bucket once a day in order to...
Thought I'd start a new thread since I just got a bunch of new Nepenthes with a veitchi k on the way and a veitchi candy striped not too far behind.
Heres some pics of the HL chamber with its new fogger which hopefully won't die... as you can see its gotten pretty jam packed so if anyone knows...
Hey everyone,
Recently the fan on my zoomed reptifogger stopped working. I was able to replace it with another computer fan i had lying around but I'm thinking of getting a new fogger. I dont think the reptifogger is going to last much longer and I'm doubling the size of the current tank...
After some frustration with a cool mist humidifier and some failed make shift wick replacements I decided to put together a make shift humidifier myself using only materials I've had laying around the work bench from past experimentation with peltiers, bog gardens and water buckets.
Materials...
So my reptifogger stopped working after about two days
today my ultrasonic fogger stopped working as well.
there is enough water in the tank, its clean water (with slight plant debris) and the water temperature is around 88 degress.
any ideas?!
I'm going on a major nep shopping trip in a few days... Well, my first nep shopping trip, anyways. I am looking to get some forgiving ones. One that are resilient in cooler and hotter temperatures, ones that humidity swings won't kill, ones that like lots/little sunlight.
I did some research on...
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
I walked into my greenhouse today to find this :
<a href="http://s1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd495/Lance_Plater/?action=view¤t=DSC_0023-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd495/Lance_Plater/DSC_0023-1.jpg" border="0"...
Good morning everyone!
Well, not so good for me. Last night when my fogbox was suppose to turn on, the fan clicked on right on time, but the ultrasonic fogger didn't. The water level was fine, but even the little red indicator light wasn't even on! This morning I replaced the little...
What is the purpose of ultrasonic foggers? Presumably the humidity within a terrarium will already be high, so I would imagine that a fogger wouldn't add much to it. The only thing I can think of is they would have a evaporative cooling effect, but would need running frequently to maintain this.
So I'm looking at upgrading my humidifier. Right now I have one of those portable ones that you stick a water bottle on top of. It's alright but it's annoying refilling it so often and I'm also expanding out onto a second shelf in my grow rack and I don't think this little thing has the oomph to...
So I just set up a fogger today on my shelf with my small heliamphora, cephalotus, sundews and a few nepenthes. It's a cool, ultrasonic fogger, on a timer for 15 mintues ever two hours in the day. Here's a photo, what should I change or adjust?
Thank you for your advice.
Steve
