Hi all,
I'd like to take this opportunity to formally announce the 2007 Sarawak Nepenthes Summit, which will be held in Kuching in August next year.
In addition to being the first-ever carnivorous plant conference held in Borneo, this event will offer Nepenthes enthusiasts a chance to meet...
Here are some photos of Nepenthes jamban, a newly described highland species from Indonesia. Discovered by Ch'ien Lee, this amazing species is in cultivation now. So far it seems to be a vigorous and easy grower and also a prolific producer of pitchers, which is good news for everyone...

The ability to change skin...
Hello,
Here are some photos from the Colorado Carnivorous Plant Society meeting on May 13, 2006.
We had a great meeting; one of our members (Rich Ellis) showed slides from his trip to Borneo.
I tried posting these in the picture thread, but it seems not to want to go above 30 pages...
These are some amps I imported from Borneo Exotics. Not the greatest pics as the greenhouse was hot and humid and the lens kept fogging up.
Anyway:

I would love to have a Borneo (i think this is native to borneo) Greenhouse full of Lowland Nepenthes sp. , Rafflasia sp. (the giant stinky flowers that are low to the ground that are parasitic plants?), Amorphophallus titanum, and many other tropical Stinkers! It would...

Hi,
If anybody wants to know more about it...
A few years ago I started being worried about my N. insignis (Biak, clone from Wistuba) as in a Botanic Garden I found the same plant labeled as a hybrid. On the same day Wistuba ensured me that he had collected the seeds of his plants personally...
Here are the photos I promised, a good friend of mine took them summer of 2005. They did not come labeled so your guess is as good as mine. If for some reason you would like the original for wall paper of something let me know and I can upload it, most of them were 2000 x 3008 pixels.
After I...

Having spent some of the time travelling and trekking in nearby hills and mountains i witnessed neps of same species often show slight variation in shapes and colors in different locality. An example N. edwardsiana found on Mt.Trus Madi are slightly different in shape from those found on...
Hi,
looking at some pictures of these two species, some dubts came in my mind. I have got 2 N. inermis, of from BE and the other from an czech grower (I bought it a the EEE in Prague). However I would like to receive some opinions about this plant: is there the possibility that it is a N...
First off, I apologise for the sloppy quality of the pics.
Nepenthes rajah. Whoever said it was a fussy, slow grower? I received this plant in September as a 5" "monster". Much credit goes to Simon Lumb who sent me such a healthy plant from Borneo Exotics.
After a month of growth I knew it...
