I have heard many people mention Borneo Exotics (since they are mainly wholesale) on here before, so I assume that it is OK... If not, please let me know. I have been considering placing an order with BE, but I was wondering how well they do with private orders? They have quite a few choice...
Siegfried and Irmgard Hartmeyer in association with Aydin Dilber and EZTV have made available for free download the Hunting Veggies video "Nepethes at Borneo Exotics".
If you downloaded the earlier video "Snap-tentacles and Runway Lights" there was a teaser trailer for the Borneo Exotics video...
Well I finally had a chance to take a few photos of my plants, the first since I got back from Borneo.
Here are of two of my larger N. rajah pitchers. The larger of those two is 21.5cm tall.
thanks

I just bought my plane ticket to Kuching for the 2007 Sarawak Nepenthes Summit. Who else here is going?
I’m really looking forward to this and meeting some of you guys.
See you later,

Hey All,
Don't know if anyone else caught it, but there was a Nepenthes featured on Animal Planet last night of all places. The show was talking about life in the jungle, and they showed a rather large Nepenthes from Borneo catching bugs and such. The documentary also had a feature about...
I made this list up for another thread of what I grow as windowsill plants. I was curious what plants others grow this way.
When I first started to grow CP's, I also thought you had to have high humidity. My first tank has water in the bottom of it all the time to keep the humidity up. The top...
Hi Everybody!
The spike of this beautiful lowland form (the plant comes from A. Wistuba) is about to open. I'll ONLY swap its pollen with growers who have the same species from the same area (Sungai Samba, Borneo). Hopefully Andreas grew this plant from seeds and not meristematically...

i'd like to know what everyone thinks on this...
i'm going to borneo in the summer, and whilst i'm there there's some chance i might be able to obtain some seeds.
firstly, does anyone know the rules for importing seeds into the UK? if they are too complex, i may well not bother.
secondly, is...
Planet Earth had the rain forest episode tonight and had a pretty good segment on Nepenthes and their symbiotes, the crab spider and the literal crabby crab. I think they did a good job and spent much more time than Expedition Borneo did. I want one of those crabs.
recent studies have shown the clouded leopard from Borneo and Sumatra to be genetically distinct from its mainland cousins, enough so to warrent being a new species.

Here's my list, it has grown very fast recently and will take it's last fast growth in the next months as I receive a shippment from Wistuba.

Hi gang,
Its been a long while since I have posted. However, having just returned from a trip to Borneo I thought I'd share a few Nep pics.
I did not go to actively seek out Neps, but when the opportunity presented itself, or if I found some in passing, I got a few snaps.
This first set are...
The CP universe is governed by these rules
1. There will never be a convenient, cheap solution for terrarium cooling.
2. 95% of all drosera seed circulating in cultivation comes from a guy with a Drosera spatulata plantation in his basement.
3. The red form always costs more
4. The coolness...
Hello everyone
Just a few pics to share. I recently built a new enclosure for my plants and words can't describe how happy I am with the result/s...
First off is a pic I took quite a while back just to give an idea of the size of the previous enclosure (100x60x40cm) under a single 400W HPS...

Today I just looked at the Borneo Exotics gallery of their nep exibit, and I noticed quite a bit of highlands like N. lowii, and N. aristo, and some Heliamphora.
So I was wondering if N. ampullaria could be a highland?
If so, or not then is hard to grow?
