Utrics in section Orchidioides - generally these plants are pure epiphytes & grower in higher elevation areas. Unlike the Iperua basket I listed earlier, I cannot include all the species because 1) I don't grow all of them & 2) some are really expensive & don't lend themselves to a basket...
- Utricularia asplundii - this is a division from my mother plant made last fall. It is growing well & flowering. I refer to this as my 'short-lobe' clone since the 3 lower lobes on the flowers are fairly short. This plant is from Chiwinda, Ecuador and is a very robust grower. It flowers almost...

I've been around the board for a little while now, but I haven't posted any pictures of my CPs to this point. I've mostly only kept temperate species, mostly Sarrs to this point, but I traded with another member here about a month ago and got some really cool Neotropical species. They're...
My collection includes a U. Longifolia, a U. Reniformis 'Small Form', and a U. Alpina.
The U. Alpina is new and I got it today:) Does it look good? http://s1251.photobucket.com/albums/hh545/JMN16150/Utricularia/
Division of U. alpina from SG plant. This is one of the larger Orchidioides Utrics (orchid-flowering utrics). This species is normally a very forgiving grower and will periodically reward you with beautiful flowers, so it is an excellent plant to start with in the Orchidioides group (imho)...

I live in Lathrop, California and I have recently been attracted to carnivorous plants. I got into the the hobby due to being attracted by different ways the carnivorous plants catch insects and small animals, also by their different array of colors :D I still grow different plants, but if I had...
Does anybody have care tips for U. Longifolia? I'm planning on getting one because they are complete eye-catchers! Also, does anyone know where you can buy a U. Alpina?
(I'm a newcomer to utricularia, even though there is this one small utricularia that covers the top part of my pot with a...

Drying Utricularias
Hi!
I have one problem - my few plants started to dry out:
nephrophylla
longifolia
and even sandersonii
I thought (in case of nephrophylla) that there can be too much light - it quite close to lamp, but not in case of others
They always are in water, so it not common...

Up for auction is a strong, well-established division of U. alpina x U. endresii**. I had no plans to offer this plant in the auction but noticed a significant chunk with large tubers growing on the side of one of my netpots. This is a very robust growing plant that is great for those new to...
