container plants are usually not as hardy as in ground plants although if the plant can be frozen solid then it wont hurt it. usually the thing thats fragil when there frozen is the pot as plastic breaks easy when the soil is a block of ice.
Heh, I went to check my dormant plants in the garage, and all of their pots were frozen solid, and the water in the purp's pitchers was also frozen solid, and interestingly enough, so is the live sphagnum.
Are D. filiformis hibernacula supposed to be purple?
