NASC Auction will open in...

Read the rules first :)
NASC auction is OPEN!!
The heat seems to have edged a good number of pitchers to open:

Black Knight (ventricosa x ramispina):

Fusca (Sarawak):

Izumiae x 'Trusmadiensis' (this is the one that takes more after N. izumiae):

cp-jul2011-izumixtm001.jpg

Izumiae x 'Trusmadiensis' (IMHO, this is the better clone - which takes after TM):

Lady Pauline (maxima x talangensis):

Sabre (ventricosa x 'Trusmadiensis'):

Spectabilis x truncata (Sam Estes):

Veitchii K (striped veitchii):

Ventricosa x angasanensis (I like the contrast of outside vs. inside. Notice the reticulation inside):

Ventricosa (Porcelain):

Your plants are most remarkable!
Vent. porcelain and the fuscia sarawak are some beauties :)

Thanks for sharing!

2 Questions..

1: I absolutely LOVE the moss growth on your terracotta. Does it grow on the pots, or is it growing through the pot?
2: Aren't veitchii K and veitchii 'Candy Striped' two different variations?

very nice to know that your ventricosa's doing alright! mine tends to abort pitcher production when its too warm. :P

i also prefer the 2nd izumae x TM as well.

very nice plants Brokken! thanks for sharing!

Hi Mass,

The first thing to colonize the outside of the pots is slime mold. After about 6 months of this and provided it gets enough light, moss will begin to grow. It only grows outside the pots.

Veitchii K and Candy Stripe are different? Could be. I thought they were the same, but I'm probably wrong.

Amph,

Mine will most likely abort those pitchers that are still budding in this weather. It definitely likes it cooler. As a matter-of-fact, the lack of peristome development is most likely the result of hot weather.

Nerd: Fusca is a recent acquisition that never missed a beat. From the time I got it earlier (March) None of the pitchers aborted and it's put out three of them under my care. Definitely a strong plant.

C12: Thank you! :)

Those neps are awesome...but that one clone of Izumiae x 'Trusmadiensis' really takes the cake! :-O

Very nice!....amazing how well they do considering the amount of heat you have there this time of year.

Lady Pauline (I don't know why more people don't make crosses with this wonderful plant):

Fusca (Really like this plant and it seems to really appreciate hotter weather):

cp-jul2011-fusca002.jpg

Truncata x spectabilis (EP's hybrid - superior IMHO to Leilani's 'Spectabilis x truncata'):

cp-jul2011-truncxspect001.jpg

Lowii x campanulata (I've seen darker and more vigorous, but oh well...):

cp-jul2011-lowxcamp001.jpg

Aristolochioides x spectabilis (these are small basals around my main grow point):
