Noticed these today. This is like 10 or more leaves back on a place that has been wooded over since I got it four months ago. They feel like roots. This is an N. ventricosa x talangensis... If that matters... ???
What causes this and what will happen? Am I gonna get another plant?
Six leafs back on my N. ventricosa x talangensis (the first leaf that opened up when I got it in December) developed some black crap on it sometime after the leaf opened. A few months later, I'm finally getting around to posting it, along with some other pics. The best I can describe it is like...
I'm feeling a little antsy and I'm also running out of space. I know I will need to get rid of some plants soon so I figured I would throw it out there already and see if there are any biters. I have very limited space and this is really the beginning of me down-sizing my entire collection so...
Is this root rot or is the vine just wooding over?
The lower part that turned black is starting to get a woody texture. Please tell me this is no root rot! The basals seem fine. Is this root rot? :(
It's spreading up towards the green leaves, no leaves are showing any blackness yet. The soil...
So yesterday I acquired one of BEs new hamata hybrids, N. talangensis x hamata, however it has no open traps, but has a couple developing. I'm curious to see if any others are growing the new BE version of this plant and if they are, how the pitchers look on it. Hopefully they end up being as...
About a month ago, my N. ventricosa x talangensis dropped down a tendril about 10" to the moss in the pots around it. The tendril has been squirming around, but it is not evident that a pitcher is forming. Not sure if it’s going to produce a pitcher or not. Both basals on the plant have...
Hi all,
Sorry I've been keeping so quiet lately. My fiance and I are finally moving ahead with wedding plans and I'm teaching a 10% overload this semester. So busy! I have a big update in the works though.
I did want to see if anyone could help me with a bit of a mystery. I've had a Nepenthes...

Alright... So I put my humidity gauge out in my greenhouse last night and I've monitored it throughout the day. Just curious if neps can withstand these very mild swings in humidity.

im thinking about getting a N. singlana x hamata i would like to photos of other people plants if some one could be kind enough to post some. Which plant should i get N. singlana hamata,N. talangensis x hamata, or a N. jamban?
I'm going on a major nep shopping trip in a few days... Well, my first nep shopping trip, anyways. I am looking to get some forgiving ones. One that are resilient in cooler and hotter temperatures, ones that humidity swings won't kill, ones that like lots/little sunlight.
I did some research on...
