This monday, I planted about... ummm 100-150 of its seeds so that I'd have a forrest. Everywhere I looked it says they need cold stratification for 6 weeks to germinate. Well I...
Thanks to Bugweed, I have about 60 (yes 60) baby VFT's shedding their seeds. Whats really cool is that I gave them NO cold stratification, just spread them over wet peat and forgot about 'em. So far I see about three that could be Red dragons but I'm not sure yet. Thanks alot Bugweed!!

Hello,
I just received D.capensis, D.burmannii, and B.liniflora seed from some very generous individuals at the trading post.
This will be my first attempt to grow drosera and byblis from seed.
I've done some reading on seed sowing but would like some information on soil mixes, seed...
I know it requires a cold strat, but I have also heard it takes a double freeze? Also I have heard they need an acid wash, what would I use to do this? Anyone germinated these before and/or have any ideas.
A little while ago I asked questions about germinating Sarracenia seeds that I had in the fridge for 3 months before attempting to sow. I received a variety of opinions as to what went wrong or how to do redo stratification. I have another idea.
What say I take the existing seeds and their...
