Hello!
I hear that there are Drosera rotundifolia in the Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan, that may grow in tropical conditions.
Is anyone here growing these plants and/or can report on them? Takaaki Kagawa in his book Drosera of Japan mentions colonies that have a shorter dormancy requirement, but...
Hey all,
I noticed there's a few of you in here from around the Portland, OR area, so I'll be one more to the party!
Scatterpants and I are good friends and have been feeding each others plant addictions the last few months, particularly in the CP/orchid area.
While he tends to focus more on...

I am offering this sarracenia division. It came to me labeled only as "sarracenia species" so I really have no clue what it is. It did flower this spring (pics included below) and the division you are getting ships with whatever flower stalks are attached. I never bagged or Covered the flowers...
I spent this weekend visiting different CP sites throughout New England. The first stop was a failed attempt to see Pinguicula vulgaris in New Hampshire with Natch. The site is at the top of a large talus slope. We were able to get about 3/4 of the way up but then got stuck at a thick treeline...

I'm looking for Japanese locales of Drosera spatulata, Drosera indica, Drosera rotundifolia and Drosera anglica for a community pot. Check out my growlist for trade options. Either seeds or plants are fine. Would prefer seeds of D.indica.
Thanks
Hi folks,
Got a strange problem with some D. rotundifolia I'm growing from Brasstown Bald (Towns/Union counties, Georgia). One of only 2-3 reported locations for this plant in my state, not currently in cultivation, and I'd hate to lose 'em. Two years old, just flowered and are hopefully...
I had a rough winter, for a variety of reasons and am trying to get some plants back into the collection:
I lost all of my VFT's and cobra lily, D. adelae, D. prolifera, D. falconeri, D. ordensis,... spatulata, capillaris,
rotundifolia, intermedia, burmannii. gypsicola, cyclosecta, gracilis...
I finally did it. There is now a white flowered D. tokaiensis. Only pink flowered plants have been found in nature. Using the Colchicine elixir I successfully transmuted a white flowered sterile hybrid D. x tokaiensis (D. rotundifolia X spatulata) it into the fertile D. tokaiensis. Thanks to...
