:-D I hated to take a chance on buying these alleged Carnivores from Europe but took the gamble and won. They got here in 6 days... bought seeds months and months ago of Regia from an eBay Seller in Great Britian and it took 3 months to arrive and the Seller mailed them immediately upon closing...
This is where I'll post about my indoor collection. I decided to be so public with it because I am very serious about making it better (all within means of course!). I recently lost a great many of my older plants, though a few decade + ones survived my year off at university. As I plan on...
This past Saturday we had one of our most interesting meetings to date. Mat Opel was kind enough to host our June meeting at the UCONN greenhouses which he oversees and maintains. Here are some pitiful pics of a small part of their collection.
Greeting you right at the door of the Life Sciences...
I'm paying forward a giveaway the Pyro did years ago. I expect the winners to do the same when the time comes. Plants have leaves about 2.5-3.5 inches long and are well rooted. They should fit in a small flat rate box but I may determine it safer to use a larger box so shipping will be $5.35 to...
my regia's got hit by frost and had not formed proper winter buds, thought they were for the for the compost heap ,but these guys just aint going out like that, they want to live, this one is by far the slowest to come back to life but on closer inspection it seems to of formed a new plant to the...
Hi all
I received a D. Regia in the post a few weeks ago and it got really damaged by the courier company :-( I potted the plant and stuck it in my Terrarium to try and boost the recovery process.. It's loving the new environment! :banana2:
Hello everyone, I am new to these forums and growing Drosera plants. My first ones include: Spatulata, Regia, and Capensis. All three are doing really well. I recently repotted the Spatulata and will be repotting the Regia soon as well.
I have been growing mine in a peat/#20 silica mixture and...
I just scored these from the seed bank. They were shipped today. I have not had a TON of experience with germinating drosera. I have done sessifolia capensis and probably more (I just haven't been growing carnivores long enough to germinate a ton of seeds. I have germinated some either...
Since i grow all my neps indoors, I usually squirt a bit of diluted fertilizer inside the pitchers when I feed with maxsea or growmore orchid fertilizer. I was wondering if anyone has tried dropping a pellet of Osmocote in the pitchers and what were the results? Positive/negative in plant...
To make a long story short, I was idiotically running around today with a Drosera regia in my backpack, and it tipped over multiple times and was pretty beat up. When I stopped I scooped what soil I could back into the pot and left it in my sealed backpack for five hours so it wouldn't dry out...
I'm just curious :(
Is it cause Regia is still too hard to grow in general or is there just lack of interest?
I would have really thought someone would have pulled it off by now even if the resulting seed isn't fertile.
I have some unidentified Utricularia for trade. I am very interested (not just in trade for the utrics), these plants…

Once I was in a store and there was a corner in which some really strange plants were standing.
They shall eat meat or something like that and they are probably dangerous. No risc no fun. I took one of the glistening with the sticky leaves.

Has anyone ever tried starting Drosera regia cuttings in water? John Brittnacher says it might be possible but I haven't found much information about it on the web. Do you think it would be possible? There are a few leaves on my regia that probably got shocked during shipping and lost their dew...
The larger of the two plants in the photo is the one up for bid. The leaves on this plant are approximately 3 inches long. It will be shipped bare-root. Winning bidder will pay $6.50 for USPS Priority shipping. Sorry - I will ship to a US address only. If the winner has winning bids on other...
