    P. planifolia question

I was thinking of growing a P. planifolia plant in a classic terrarium ('bout 5.5 gallons) and I was wondering how big this plant gets. I've heard from 6"-10". So, would this plant be too big for a 5 gallon terrarium? Also, what species of ping would do best in a classic terrarium? (besides P...

    !Help with planifolia growing conditions

Can someone give me some insight into the best growing conditions for these? I have two of them. Both are in the standard sand/peat mix. One is in a heated greenhouse, 20 by 30 feet. Temps are kept above 50. The other is indoors under growlights, with a humidity dome. Both are getting smaller...

    P. pumila leaf cuttings

I just read in one of my CP books that P. pumila (along with P. primuliflora and P. planifolia) will develop small plantlets on their leaves while growing under conditions of high humidity. Has anyone done this? I ask because my hand-pollinating attempts have been poor at best with these tiny...

    From "green" seed to seedlings

Here is a photo of my Pinguicula planifolia seedlings just prior to their first transplanting. You may remember that I earlier reported how this species has been very difficult for me to maintain (at all). However, with the parent of these seedlings I managed to get a flower and then a seedpod...
