Hey TF. I think this Pinguicula esseriana is suffering from crown rot or BHD. I am leaning towards crown rot, because some of the leaves are showing necrosis at the leaf tips rather than it coming from the base.
The plant is growing in an uncovered tank under 4 4' shoplights. Watered by tray...
I've heard from some care guides (One specifically in mind) that the cultivar 'Titan' enters succulent growth in the summer, rather than in the winter. This seems really strange to me given the parentage (agnata x macrophylla), but I have increased the photoperiod in my growspace, and my 'Titan'...
I just received this but it had no ID and I have no idea what ping it might be. I notice it has no dew on leaves so I think they are winter non carnivorous leaves. Here are the photos: Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet
Thank you for the help.
I have been growing one of these pings for about 6 months now and was hoping to find more information on what species it might be. Google searches have provided little. As far as I know nothing definitive has been agreed upon but are there any ideas from other growers?

Hello, My name is Chris Duncan and I have been growing carnivorous plants for 5 years now. After a few deaths with the recent horrible winters I have actually gotten good at this. So far I have tried my hand at Flytraps, Nepenthes (lowland, highland, and hybrids), sarracenia, drosera(only...
This was a free plant with an order a long time ago. Since I got it it has grown to about 4 times it's size. Still don't know what kind it is, but I remember the name was one of those two. Also, will this plant blush or turn pink if I grow it under LEDs?[/IMG][/IMG]

Hey, guys. Rather than post for each individual plant, or every time I have/want something new, I figured doing all of my trading in one the place would make things easier to keep track of, for everybody.

Dionaea Muscipula (Venus Flytraps):
"FTS Crimson Sawtooth"
Drosera (Sundews):

Hey guys! First of all, let me start off by saying this: pings are just a mystery to me. I have killed more of these guys than any other plant I have ever owned trying to get it right with them. That said, by some kind of miracle, I have managed to keep 4 alive for just shy of a full year...
After a long pause growing plants I recently started againin January 2016. Hopefully the spring will allow me to ramp up slowly and see what species I can grow outside without much trouble.

I thought I would share these picture with you so we can all enjoy them together :)
I recently got a lowii hybrid (suspected to be lowii x campanulata) from this nursery for only $14 usd. I went again recently and snapped a few photos.
Try IDing these plants if you can!
Nepenthes costs $14...
WTT for Pygmy gemmae and Hemianthus callitrichoides
The second one isn't carnivorous but I figured I'd see if anyone had some extra, preferably emersed growth, but I've never had any issues converting from submerged.
Any gemmae besides D. scorpioides should do.
For trade I have mexican...
A number of my Pinguicula are in Winter growth now. It's exciting to see them change.

I tried cross pollinating some pings for the first time and it worked! Two out of the three flowers I pollinated are developing seed. The seeds will have the following parentage: Pinguicula ['Aphrodite' (agnata x moctezumae) x (laueana (CP2) x emarginata)-Vic's Clone]
My iPhone wouldn't let me...
I need to find out if it will be safe for my dart frogs if I add some Drosera and Pinguicula. I have about 18 species of those and I am thinking of adding them to the terrarium. Just want to know your expert opinion on this.
Thanks
