I was using the DSLR on the Byblis so took some pics of the Nep pitchers as well. Disclaimer: The cool-growing plants are quite new so some of the pitchers came with the shipment...not that I can grow intermediate/highland Neps so well here in HOT Singapore.
N. spectabilis x hamata...
I have setup a new terrarium and would like to run a mister continuously from 8am-8pm, the nepenthes have well draining soils and get morning sun then filtered from 11am onwards, temps are 23C-25C at night and 24C-32C by day, the reason for the misting time is that I have attached a miniature...

They grow mostly lowland plants. They probably have the largest N. clipeata and N. pervillei in cultivation...
I recently aquired some plants from another grower here in NC and before taking the plants today I informed him that I did not have the space to grow all these plants at the size they are now and he told me it would be fine for me to share these plants with anybody I wanted. So basically I'm...
I started growing in 2010. Shown in parenthesis is the date when I got a plant of that species... and still growing..:)

I set up a simple table with most all Nepenthes species broken into the five common categories; ultra-lowland, lowland, intermediate, highland, and ultra-highland. I have based the placement on altitudinal distribution mostly. I also have temperature range at the top of each category.

One morning after getting up and looking at my nepenthes, I noticed that my pervillei had these little pinprick sized dew drops on it, but it wasn't dew. None of the other plants had any sort of water on them so it wasn't dew or rain spray or anything... is this some well documented feature...
Figured I might as well keep running pics threads for the month seeing as how I love my plants and taking pictures of them too :p

Just took some pictures outside after feeding the plants some crickets...if the pitchers are wet it's because they get a good spray afterwards to make sure their food went down OK. (Anyone ever force-feed a pervillei a small cricket? It slides right into the pitcher, like with a ceph...)...

This info came across the VCPS listserver & even though it comes across as blatant spam, anyone who has seen some of his other books & enjoys Nepenthes will cough up the bucks ... The email also had 21 beautiful color pics of Neps - however, I don't know how to share those pics w/o hosting each...
